What are they saying to these kids? They are winning in the living room. A four star and a three star after last years class. Sheezz

Technically, both of the two most recent signings are ESPN 4-stars, for whatever that's worth.

Good for Buffalo. The MAC needs to step their game up and start getting these types of players if we want to be a multi bid league and a respected mid major league. This will help.

Great for UB and the MAC in general. However, neither has signed with UB yet.

While true, also worthy of remembering that the majority of guys who verbal to a school end up signing there.

These verbals don't support my assertion that kids with high major offers won't accept a mid major. I still think I'm basically correct, but there are a few exceptions along the way. I wonder what Buffalo is doing in recruiting to pull this off?

Me too, there may be some J. Shuttlesworth stuff going on as evidenced from what's going on at Bills games.

Unless they have a good year and Oats moves on up.

True, but by that time they will have actually signed (in theory) and will then have to be released from LOI's. I'm with you, I can see Oates moving on to bigger things at some point in a couple years.

Ball State got some fantastic recruits last year, Bornacatfan can probably elaborate. The MAC should be very competitive for years to come.

That second kid picked Buffalo over Pitt.

Stallings is toast. Maybe he gets a nice buyout this time. Vandy let him walk for free and used the extra $$ to outbid GaTech for Bryce Drew. Sweet!

(Now Drew has 5-star prospects visiting on a regular basis)

Also 'Cuse, NC State, Minnesota, Virginia, Marquette, Georgia Tech, etc. While it's obvious you have a bone to pick with Stallings, to me, choosing UB over Pitt isn't the biggest "wow" in the schools he passed on for UB. NC State, 'Cuse, and Virginia are bigger wows. I can't be the only one that finds it mildly fishy that TWO 4* kids chose UB over schools mentioned in this thread.

Maybe Hurley will be realizing his ceiling about that time and have a homecoming of sorts. Wouldn't be the first or second MAC coach to do so. ;)

Huck Furley will only return to Buffalo if they meet his demands of flights to all away games including Canisius.
