I don't really follow HS basketball but I gather that Pickerington Central is a powerhouse in the state. Nice to get some inroads here.

I like his inside game but a 6-foot-5 post player is not what we need right now in 2018. Next year we get our 2 shooting bigs and our point guard. We will have 3 spots open for 2018 with Khari, Jaaron and Laster gone. I think we need a PG/SG combo, we need an athletic wing and another big to complement DT. Now if this kid can get some outside shooting and put on a few more inches to his height we're talkin.

Regarding Elmore, if he couldn't shoot, he wouldn't be recruited. Most of the players Saul has brought in so far can shoot, and shoot well.

Regarding what we need...no doubt next year's class will need a couple guys that can play the 1, 2, and 3. I'm not sure about another big as a desperate need though.

I was at the Pick Central vs. Newark game last night. With all due respect to Juan Elmore (OU interest), I think there were a few kids on both sides of the court that should garner OUr attention. Elmore was in foul trouble early, moved a little slow compared to the pace of the game. Pick's PG Francis (soph) is the real deal. Pick's 7'0 post Manley who is headed to UNC, was just OK, he was present but not dominant. The Carter kid from Newark is a shut down defender and I believe he can play at the MAC level defensively. The hands down star of the game was BJ Duling from Newark. We will See a lot of him in the coming years as he is a soon to be Kent Golden Flash. Duling gave Manley all he could handle, and his jumping/dunking ability is above board for a high school kid, really wish he was coming OUr way. Maybe the door is not shut, Assistant OU Aaron Fuss was in attendance front and center.
