Some folks on this board wanted a slasher, well here one is. Kind of reminds me of recent Ohio recruit DJ Wingfield.

The question I have is: out of all the things to spend money on, you did THAT? Had to be pretty expensive I imagine. Especially for a high school.

We have offered, according to Verbal Commits.

Holds other offers from UNCW, Charlotte, FIU, Hofstra and Murray State. None of the bigger programs have pulled the trigger yet.

That's PG #3 we have offers out there for. First come, first serve?

Programs offer many players. Not sure if it's first come first served. Guess it depends on the position and the prospects involved.

Or....maybe they end up getting two of them? Butler seems like a guy who can fill both guard roles, so maybe he and Graves/Holloway end up in Athens?

Watch this kid's highlights and it ends with a dunk putback! Three years of Culver and Butler together..Darty..Block...Gareri...Carter...Doug Taylor...come on...I see what Saul is doing and he's building a MAC dynasty. I thought I wanted Jayvon Graves but Zach will be just fine! Now on to a big guy/athletic big guy schollie!

Random thoughts:
- big pg, creative finisher, good body control.
- looks like he needs to tighten up the stroke, kind of a push shot.
- I can't really tell how good the handles are from the video.
- South Carolina is not our normal recruiting area so I'm sure Saul (or someone on staff) has put in some heavy recruiting and travel time on this one.

Coach Phillips is a busy man-he's snagged nearly as many 2017 recruits as the football team!

I don't know about everyone else, I'd be okay if the last scholly was Graves to go along with Dartis, Culver, Butler, et al. The National Champs played three guards a lot and it worked out pretty well. ;)

Welcome Zach...

Looking around the interwebs, as Monroe likes to say, has netted me a total of three short videos of Zach. I can find more footage of a mythical, made up creature named Sasquatch than I can for our newest recruit. Would've liked to see some actual flow of the game stuff but, it is what it is... Sounds like he may go prep\specialized school this next year so we can cross our fingers and hope for more footage. At the very least, we know more about him than the mysterious 7 footer Allen that was headed here during Groce's tenure...

Adding more fuel to the debate we had about rating kids at an early age. His AAU coach in the article mentions that he has D-1A potential and obviously he was right.

Not only that he made the outlet pass that led to the first layup miss. Nice end to end finish. I liked how he mixed up what he did on the drives. Love PGs that keep their heads up and their options open.
