From the Courier-Journal:

http://blogs.courier-journal.com/recruiting/2014/01/11/butler-xavier-standing-out-to-holmes-guard-james-beetle-bolden/

Looks like former Ohio assistant Chris Holtmann is trying to lure him away from Xavier. He also mentioned that UK is his dream school, but they haven't been in contact recently.

He's also receiving interest from Oklahoma State, Clemson, Tennessee and Mississippi State now.

Can't find any state tournament brackets for Kentucky, but Bolden and Covington Holmes will be playing 2/26 at 7:30pm vs Beechwood at the NKU Bank of Kentucky Center.

I don't know what this means in terms of what he's thinking but I follow Stevie Taylor on Instagram and James Bolden seemed to be asking Stevie if he could tell Ricardo Johnson to text him. Good sign maybe?

Let's hope. This guy seems like the real deal. Tariq and him could be a scary combo.

Maybe. More than likely it's nothing regarding basketball though. Xavier and Butler are after this kid hard and they are the frontrunners.

After last night, please Lord, give OHIO a 6'2" point guard who can defend and get the show rolling...as well as knock down a few shots!

would be a nice pick up but I don't see anything to suggest that we could be a front runner. Looks like Fuss is the lead on this which helped in the transition but its possible the coaching change may change Ohio's chances, good or bad. I'm thinking the biggest detraction for us right now us the recent signing of Simmons who will be just 1 year ahead of Bolden unless he red shirts too.

pleasantly surprised if he choses Ohio, no surprise if he doesn't.

Why does Covington sound familiar?  Do we have a recent player from there or am I confused.  I know it is near Cincy, but I am not thinking Campbell.

It would great if he did, and he could play with his height.  Hopefully Saul's apparent focus on the point guard, and the fact that Ricardo has that high school connection helps give Ohio the edge.

We played DJ Covington who was VMI's best player in the CIT.

Antonio Campbell is also from Covington.

My guess is he lands at Xavier. With Semaj Christon heading to the NBA and Dee Davis with only one year left, they've got only one other PG on the roster. He can get lots of PT.

What's the deal with him? He's listed as the #2 scorer for them this year but he was not listed on the roster in their final game. He played 18 games, started 12, then dropped off the map.
Discipline issue?

He was injured for most of the year and battled a high ankle sprain. Sounds to me like they weren't going to risk further injury and sat him for the season.

I have a feeling its a culture thing at WVU and not Bolden, as others are transferring.
