Wight is gone. McDay may be next. Roderick unknown. IF McDay and Roderick go elsewhere how about we simply punt on this recruiting class. I know we need bodies to practice, but I would rather grab a JC player or two or grad transfers and ride out the year - and allow Boals to build from scratch. Why invest 4 year scholarships on "late-bloomers" and "under the radar" kids at this point in time? Poor recruiting is what got us to this point, let's not extend it to get bodies.

I think it's way, way too soon to think about punting. There are a bevy of quality kids out there; the coaching staff just has to find them and get them to come on board. PT is available; that's for sure.

Just off the top of my head, I remember guys like Mychal Green and Jerome Tillman signing very late.

Certainly he won't exhaust all of the schollies this spring. I don't see how he can do that.

Does anyone have any reliable evidence that McDay is out?

I do - under the scenario that 2-3 of the scholarships are Grad/JUCO transfers. Otherwise, I agree.

I would take some grad transfers there schollies will still be available for the following year in most cases. With the amount of scholarships that we have open we can afford to take some impactful transfers as well. I would take some real high school player like Garcia, McDay and Roderick and some real good juco’s but I would not just try to fill in the roster, they have to be good.

No, because there is none. JB told Messenger he is still committed and he will be meeting with him next week. JB: "Communication has been great...so yeah, he's good."
