His home court has the oddest configuration I think I've ever seen. Can the fans on the far side even see the lower half of the players' bodies?

There is really zero confidence in the PG position if we're attacking this many guys.

Or High Confidence you need that in the MAC - And better deep there than shallow (listen to Boals interviews again)

Fair enough. Was simply saying in terms of landing McDay, Miles Brown, and then going to offer Norris and this guy.

Besides the advantages of a deep roster it seems, recalling his presser, Boals is intent on following in the steps of his old coach by having his players COMPETE. In that context this move makes sense.

I have always looked at it from the angle of "you can never have too many guards that can handle the ball, shoot the ball well, and defend well". UB proved highly successful with a similar formula during Hurley and Oats time in Buffalo. In March teams with good guards usually shine. I like it.

I'll repeat it again. I really want this guy in a Bobcats' uniform! And we most likely will need to sign him early for that to happen, as I can envision him having a monster senior year. Bobcat Baylor. I like the sound of that...

I don't think the issue is a lack of confidence in the PG position, but rather going after players you believe can help achieve the vision you have for the program. If your goal is to consistently challenge for superiority in the MAC, focus on recruiting MAC-level players. If your vision is to boogie on the floor at the Big Dance's Sweet Sixteen or better, then set your sight on recruiting above this conference's level. Because if you can do that, the MAC will be yours in the process...

That's kind of my point.....looking at the current roster and saying we need to go get better PGs even if we have some already on the commitment hopper.

Not disputing it's a good thing, just saying it's interesting to see how many guards we're going after

I hear ya, B2B: When I look at our roster as presently constructed, Jason Preston is definitely a point guard who sees the floor, can get the ball to his teammates and seems to have more scoring ability than he's given credit for, although his shot is very unorthodox. Unlike a guy like D.J. Cooper as a freshman, I don't have a feel for how high his ceiling is. When I look at recruits McDay and Brown, I envision them to be more shooting guard than point guard at this juncture.

I haven't seen enough of Baylor Hebb to know if he's really a point guard. But he has the look of an explosive baller who brings a lot to the table in his game.
