Per Granger’s tweet and Boals’ retweet today, he is a Bobcat.

He chose Ohio over Siena, Mount St. Mary's, and Kennesaw State. Really respected player in the state of Georgia. He is tough, athletic, can run and jump, and is very outspoken and confident. He also was on the list at Middle Tennessee. May have been some other offers lately. Very muscular kid. You'll laugh at this guys, because it sounds like a Fake Jeff comment, but he looks like a kid with a major upside. He has the tools, he just needs to develop.

SandysSpiel (06/11/2019): “As far as true big men go in Georgia, Colin Granger might have the most present-day talent in the 2020 class outside of Walker Kessler but finding that consistent killer mentality on the low block is his final hurdle. You won’t find another post player that runs the floor as well as Granger does. Up against Jordan Meka of Mt. Bethel, Granger was up to the task, putting together 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block. Granger was always one of the first players down the floor which led to deep post position if he wasn’t catching passes in stride for lay-ins. Granger moves exceptionally well, especially considering the amount of muscle that he is carrying on his frame as one of the state’s sturdiest players. Granger knocked down two threes on the day and started his own fast break on numerous occasions. Sometimes he can try to do a little too much and turn the ball over, but his play on Sunday was the best I’ve seen out of him. Even in a loss to Miller Grove where he had a quiet first half, Granger finished the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 1 assist. Continuing to be coachable and accepting a leadership role are two big areas that Granger has a chance to capitalize on in his final season.”

Nice interview here... He sounds like he's focusing on being tough down low so, I like that... Also says he is a big Ohio State fan.. Maybe he meant that he is a big fan of the state of Ohio. Yeah, that's probably it...

We are stockpiling on bigs where we need some depth moving forward. Judging from what I read, I think this kid would have received some bigger offers as his senior season moved forward. Glad we could lock him down "verbally" before his senior season started. Will be fun to track his senior year.

Love to read that he's tough down low but he's also able to handle the ball and appears to run the court well and has a smooth looking outside shot. Looks athletic although I wouldn't call him a high-flyer. Best attribute might be his hands.

I count 12 for next year based on the recruiting grid, as well as Verbal Commits. Assuming that's correct, there's one left to give.

If I'm Boals, I'm holding that last one for a "home run", or a transfer in the spring. Then again, these days he'll probably gain one or two in the spring from a transfer out, so maybe that's a bad strategy.

This kid will certainly need to do his work to compete. With Ogbanda leaving after one year we do have a spot open and BVP will develop into more of a stretch 4 and even a 3. This kid will compete with McMurray and Springs for time. Reminds me of Ben Wight in terms of size and build.

We have one available but I will go out on a limb that Boals will have an additional 2-3 openings to offer.

I would agree with that....2 minimum.

In the year 2019/2020, that's not much of a limb to go out on. ;)

Agree though, someone will transfer. It seems inevitable.

Love the play where he grabs a rebound, and then less five seconds later he finishes at the hoop, after he delivered the outlet. There isn’t any defense being played, apparently, but that’s the way to run the floor big fella.

He looks more "crafty" than athletic but that can come in handy.

Always save one spot for a grad transfer or whatever in the Spring.

Actually looks like he has good hops. And there's no question he can run the floor well.

Agreed - I'd save one scholarship for the spring transfer craziness most years. Ya never know when a game changer transfer could become available.

Hit some clutch free throws to give them the lead.
