I'm just happy to see Ohio going back to recruiting the Cincinnati area. A couple of the important players of recent successful years have been from there - Tony Campbell, Ricardo Johnson. And Groce & Christian staffs seemed to spend a little more time there. Saul's staff didn't have any recruits from there (I think).

Hitting the 3 C's is always a good way to having a good ballclub in the MAC. Cincinnati in particular if you know where you're going historically fed the good Fiami teams as well (of course they also went into the Limaland and dominated, similar to the good Dayton teams as well).

Especially for getting relationships at the Big Moe, that's always a good way to have a good ballclub. What scares me in Cincy is if Huggy Bear wants a kid out of there, he doesn't lose a lot there. Hope this kid doesn't blow up recruiting rankings wise, but develops P5 talent.

Did not know that. Interesting. I looked it up after I read your post and Walther’s last season at Akron was 05-06 before he transferred to Ohio for the 06-07 season. Boals started as an assistant at Akron in 06. Wonder if their paths crossed in any way and, if so, any history there?
