Really liking the Texas guys I see.

That said, heard from many coaches that Texas is just spitting out talent left and right at this point on a basketball front so definitely a good place to keep in mind.

That's true. And Buffalo just hired a Texan with JUCO and HS ties as an assistant coach. So its definitely a hotbed of talent.

Not surprising with the growth you're seeing in places like Austin. I'll have to keep my ears and eyes open down here and scope some HS Tournaments next season.

Athletic wing from Texas. Sign me up. I'm sure getting a 6-9 guy or bigger is also in order for this class. I certainly like how Coach Boals is not afraid to recruit nationally.

I really like his agility and slashing. We need big agile guards to compete with the Beefs. He also seems to have great shooting form.

I didn't see any other offers on Verbal Commits. Was he totally under the radar?

FWIW, there is another 6-5 Jalen White in Texas who is on the roster at Div II Dallas Baptist. Just wanted to make sure there was no mistaken identities with those two guys.

Best wishes to Ohio's Jalen White!

Some could argue that Ohio's Jalen White is a rising 6th grader at a middle school in Newark and could possibly be in my math class. Coached against him in baseball this past season.

With all the players the coaching staff has offered, they really must like Jalen; he's gotta be near the top of the list. By the way, Colleyville Heritage guard Baylor Hebb is rated 23rd in Texas...

I have to imagine that with the wealth of guards we have in the 19 class and now Jalen that Boals will bring in a big or athletic wing with at least one of the two remaining schollies. I absolutely love that we got Ogbanda for a grad year and have 2 more schollies left. If one of McMurray, Springs or Foster can step up and play we can have a bright future.

Jalen White ranked # 32 according to "Updated Public Rankings 2020 - Texas Boys Basketball." Ranking is dated July 8, 2019.

Ranked # 24 by RCS Sports, Class of 2020 [New]. Could not determine date of ranking.

I am unfamiliar with these sources.

He's a legit 6'5" and looking at this twitter feed his AAU team is enormous. There are six guys either taller or as tall as he is.

If so, I hope he left at halftime, like our defense.

Jalen has been dominating recently. I’m glad we got him because he is a great shooter and he can create a shot for himself.

Klay Thompson.

The only knock I can see is that he seems to pass up semi-open drives for pull up mid range jumpers.
