I think that this recruit has demonstrated that he can play division basketball at a pretty high level. Last year, we took a guy because of height and hustle and he proved to be too slow and unathletic for the MAC. Towns will need to add strength and explosion to be effective in the MAC. The MAC is a guard oriented league where you need athletic bigs that can shoot out to 18 feet. I gave an honest critique last year and I happened to be right and I don’t mind being mocked because of it.

I'm excited for DW! Been bored at home and figured I'd try and watch a couple of JMU's games from this year. If you have Roku or really any smart device you can watch games on their app, caa.tv.

Watching JMU play these games...they did not play good basketball last year...as a unit they were hard to watch. That said, DW looks like he'll be a good addition to the team. Plays around the rim, seems to have good hands near the basket and he goes up and finishes. I think that's something we've been missing, not just someone that fills space, but positions themselves well near the hoop and is quick to put up a shot without hesitation. Very easy to see how he was a near 10 and 10 guy, solid positioning on boards and took advantage of shot opps around the rim. Didn't see him fumbling under the basket when he got a quick pass, able to collect and go up. Aside from backing down his defender and occasional jump hook, he's living around the rim. Overall, definitely a good get!

Welcome back Jerry. Glad to see that Boals had a better year one than you thought he would. Hope you could see how much fun the board had this past year compared to the previous five.

It's a simple question. Is Wilson eligible or not for next season? Check your sources and get back to us.
