I MOST DEFINITELY want another big, preferably someone who is at least 6-9, 6-10, long and a rim protector, capable of holding his own in the MAC playing at least 10-15 minutes per game. I don't want to go into next season having to count on either Nolan Foster or Nate Springs to play that role. They both have the look to me of most likely being at least a season away from being consistent contributors.
Now please believe me: Nothing would make me happier than if one or both of them can handle this role next season. If we bring in another big to pair with Dwight Wilson and this happens, now we'd really be cooking with gas!
Final thought: Dwight Wilson, if he just holds his own at the position, could be the link we need to be in the MAC mix for sure. But anyone who knows me knows I've always thought bigger than that, going back to when I was a student and a sports reporter for The Post/Messenger during the Walter Luckett days.
My thought process always has been if you aim to build your team to compete against levels above the MAC, the MAC will be yours in the process.
Also, I know, I know, we're out of scholarships. But I do expect at least one to materialize. As we've come to expect, stuff happens...
