GoCats105,

I don't follow these offers on these various sites. Do you think they are
accurate? Is this info provided by the recruit or the school? I would be more inclined to believe it if it's the school that is putting this out.
This site is actually I think more accurate than the other sites when it comes to showing all offers each recruit has. They might be a little quicker or slower than some sites, but I go to them for it most often.

For example, when Ohio first started recruiting Jayvon Graves, Verbal Commits was the only site that showed he had offers from Ohio, Toledo, Kent, NKU and Buffalo. Scout or Rivals were showing him with no offers from Ohio or NKU, but showing interest from major programs like Michigan State and Xavier. They even predicted he would go Michigan State. They haven't even offered him yet.

VC has been accurate on all of Saul's recruits that I've seen.

I know they get a lot of their info from following players on social media and also schools and recruiting services. I'm not sure how much contact they have with schools. But if they see a tweet from a player getting an offer, they're probably assuming they aren't lying about it.

Schools/coaches are not allowed to comment on any specific player that they may be recruiting. They are not allowed to name names at all until they have received a signed letter of intent from a player during specified signing periods.

Very impressive offers for Manley. All I remember from the times I've seen him v. Newark is a player who wasn't even an option on offense. Didn't even start in some of the games. Doesn't hurt to be 6-11, I guess.

Per Zach Fleer and Sterling Manley himself on Twitter, Sterling has trimmed his list to North Carolina, Purdue, Xavier and WVU.

Wow.

Talked with Dartis' H.S. coach earlier this week and mentioned my amazement that Sterling, who has been an afterthought who sometimes doesn't even start the few times I've seen him play v. Newark, had an offer from NC. He said you'll get a lot of interest when you're 6-10 and have a wingspan of 7-2. Also joked that Manley probably knew he'd never see the ball if he was to play for Ohio unless grabbing offensive rebounds off Dartis' missed shots.

It'll be very interesting to see this play out of the next several years.

Duke via Columbus Whitehall. Considered Danny Nee and the Bobcats.

Always thought you could have done more as president of the student fan club back then to get Nessley to Athens. Just like you didn't do enough over three decades later to get your son to follow in your footsteps and become a Bobcat.

Beer. Women. Angelo's. 7 foot greeting card signed by hundreds at a football game. guess I should have thought outside the box in both cases - though hard to compete with Pitino's parties.

Just a hunch I've had the past year or two, but don't be surprised if Manley enters the portal before the year is out. Just don't see him getting any meaningful minutes with what's in front of him at UNC. Of course, Ohio was one of the first to offer him while an undergrad at Pick Central, followed by a later offer from Stony Brook and Boals. What an addition for a year or two in Athens.

Note: I also predicted Jeremiah Francis, another Pick Central player at UNC, would enter the transfer portal and perhaps land in Athens. Got 50% right on that call.

I'd be very surprised to seem him transfer. Sterling tweeted in October that he's been accepted into the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at UNC. He didn't say whether he's in an undergraduate or graduate program. He's in his 4th year at Chapel Hill, so I wouldn't be surprised if he already has or is very close to his undergrad degree. Either way, the Hussman School is a big deal, and he's obviously very proud of this accomplishment. If you've seen any interviews with Sterling, you come away with a feeling that hoops are an important part of his life, but probably not the most important. He already seems to be thinking of life after basketball.

This guy's in the portal. He's now 6'11". Injuries have spoiled his career at UNC, but he has to still have something to give.

Yes sir. Manley would be an interesting addition. Barely played at all the last 2 years, but from all accounts, a high character guy.
