If he's only a Sophomore right now about to be a junior he still has plenty to grow. He could be 6'9-6'10" 225+ by the time he graduates.

So Ohio has recruited or offered at least three players on this team at some point: Watson, Tate and now Manley. Pick Central quickly becoming Bobcat breeding grounds.

Don't forget Caris Levert as well, who committed to John Groce. Very good thing to see Saul recruiting Central Ohio so strongly. Lot of good talent here escapes to other Ohio MAC schools too often

I chatted briefly with Saul at the coaching caravan stop in Cbus. Says ideally he'd like recruiting classes that are 50-50 in-state/out-state. He's building relationships with coaches throughout state--I had asked specifically about former Bobcats who are now respected coaches like Sonny Johnson in the Cleveland area and Kirk Lehman in northwest OH. Clearly relationships already bearing fruit in Central OH with Dartis and Taylor.

Good point, but the other three all play on the team right now.

And people think Saul doesn't know what he's talking about when recruiting. He just got them earlier than others. ;)

Amazing that Huggy is recruiting Manley - this Pick Central team is loaded.
Ibi Watson to Michigan, JaSean Tate's (starter for o$u) brother signed with Northern Kentucky, Jerry Francis' son supposedly one of the best freshman point guards in the country. Plus the 6-8 Manley inside.

Pick Central at Newark tonight.

Pick Central is a #4 seed in the upcoming OHSAA tournament. They face Grove City Central Crossing on 2/20 in their home gym. Future sites TBD.

Check out Manley (#1) in highlights from recent Pick Central/Newark game.

Also notice #30 in purple, 6-3 freshman pg Jeremiah Francis, one of the top frosh point guards in the country. Very impressive handle and 3-pt range.

Also notice #10 in white, 6-7 junior BJ Duling. Duling has committed to Kent St. but I gotta believe, from what I've heard, it is a soft verbal. Very athletic and will benefit from two years of playing under Coach Quackenbush.

Sterling unfortunately suffered what appears to be a serious knee injury in Pick Central"s win over Gahanna on 2-12...

The Stony Brook offer leads me to wonder if OSU might offer him soon? This is assuming the Boals is the reason for the offer.

I'd imagine Stony Brook recruiting will hit central Ohio now that Boals is the head coach. I'd be surprised if they'll go after the same players o$u recruits.

A 6'10'' player in central Ohio is certainly on OSU's radar. Doesn't mean they will offer.

Reading Sterling Manley's recruitment thread, and a comment Rodney Culver made has made me ponder on something. Typically, how much does being one of the first in on the recruiting process come into play on what a player makes a decision?

Because UB recently offered, and Miami, Kent, and Toledo have within the MAC as well, I'm wondering how much the fact that Ohio has been talking to him the longest comes into play? I'm just curious to the thoughts of some on here based on past observations. It seems like Saul & Co. are very high on Manley.
