Interested to see how far Aidan and LaFayette can go; it all starts this evening. My cousin lives in Atlanta and has been giving me reports on Aidan all season. By all indications the kid is legit. (Aidan's school is near the Tennessee border, by the way). Here's a report on tonight's match-up I found on the website, Scorebooklive.com (pick GA as the state):

Oconee County (18-9) vs. LaFayette (25-0), 6 p.m. Wednesday

Oconee County will try its hand at slowing down red-hot LaFayette, led by Aidan Hadaway. The 6-foot-8 big is averaging almost 30 points per game and has multiple 40-point performances that have helped LaFayette earn its perfect record. These two teams matched up in the first round two years ago with LaFayette coming out on top. Oconee will use its high-powered offense to try to change the narrative.

This kid is something else man. I have a feeling he will be special in Athens.

Agree! Just wait until the coaching staff gets him on weight training and a proper diet, off McDonalds all the time...

Glad to help out, Jeff. LaFayette won its opening playoff game, 65-59, after trailing by 10 at halftime. Aidan dropped 32, 14 in the fourth quarter.

Got this email from my cousin, a police officer in Atlanta, after LaFayette won its playoff opener last night:

"Great game! Hey cuz, btw, I spoke to one of my boys and he said Hadaway has a shot at 1st team all-state even though normally in Georgia those slots go to the kids from larger schools."

Well, I guess all good things come to an end sometime or another. Aidan's team lost at home tonight to 23-6 Cross Creek in the Georgia playoffs, 50-47. Aidan scored 20, nine below his average. LaFayette finished at 26-1. Can't wait until this baller gets to Athens!!!

Hell of a season from Aidan. Now the countdown begins to him getting to Athens wearing green and white.
