Our track record with lefty PGs is pretty good.

Sonny Troutman wasn't technically a PG but could handle the ball.

Sonny Troutman, the best pt guard ever at Ohio, if you ask one long-time poster on BA.

This same poster thinks he's the best playground point guard ever to come out of the Rubber City.

This is the EXACT move we need. A guy with four years of eligibility left, can play right away and allow Miles Brown to play at the 2 while Sears won't have to be Mr. 38 Minutes Per Night Guy. You still have a senior in Schmock who can mentor and play too. Frazier was pretty highly rated but had an appendectomy that ruined his freshman year. I love this move if it takes place.

Had an emergency appendectomy that derailed his year at Dayton.

I agree, his profile is exactly what this roster needed. He was successful at Lake Catholic both as point and off the ball. He has ideal size for any guard position - he's up to 6'5'' now. We now have two options behind Sears without cannibalizing his development, but Frazier could spell McDay or Roderick too.

What I like about this: It creates versatility and depth. It again gives Ohio multiple guards that can create & score, handle, defend.

In my opinion, the best teams before anything else, have good guards and wings that can do multiple things well. This team has that. Yeah, it would still be nice to find a 3 that has length and all that, but those types of players aren't easy to find. Ohio has options at every other position, even with JP staying in the draft. I'm looking forward to this fall!

I see a posted correction saying that he "hasn't committed to Ohio, yet." I hope the "yet" indicates he's leaning our way and will commit soon. He does look like exactly what we need, as others have said.

Well...I'm here for this. Would be a quality, quality get. Fingers crossed. I trust Boals.

I'm kind of wondering what's happening here. Seems to me no news probably isn't good news.

Boals did have one of those "commit" tweets the other day so maybe this kid is why.

If my eyes are working properly, I believe he was at the Convo for the meet the Bobcats event… There’s a group photo on the Men’s basketball Twitter feed if anyone wants to double check it…
Edit: Or, is it Coach Martin?

The tall white guy right behind the trophy is AJ Clayton. Are you looking at someone else in the picture?

Well Shab, I was thinking it was the guy in the white T-shirt but, I’m not so sure now.
Speaking of AJ. Clayton, is he the tallest player on the team? He still has some time to grow considering he got here a year early as well…
One other thing, since I’m making such astute observations from the Twitter photo mentioned before, is that Olumide Adelodun in the back row wearing the multi-colored shirt? He looks 6’6” or so if Sam Towns is a legit 6’8”…
Cycling back to Lukas, since the start of the school year is so close, I think we will know where we stand with the roster shortly.
