per Zack Fleer, confirmed on player's twitter account.

One of the top players in his class nationally, ranked the #4 point guard by Future150.com, top incoming soph point guard in OH.

Dad Jerry is former coach at Pick Central and played at Ohio State.

Needless to say, a very long shot.

Glad we offered, but after watching him at Flying to the Hoop, he will be a Big Ten caliber player when it's all said and done. Can hope for the best, but I don't think he will end up in the Green and White of Ohio.

Being a 2019 recruit, he has a couple years before committing anywhere. Maybe this is exactly the type of recruit Saul sees us landing after a couple more years of continued success. Gonzaga didn't do it overnight nor did VCU.

I've said this before on this site--I'd rather strike out swinging, than with the bat on my shoulder.

In our matrix of players we recruit, add a few long shots and see if every once in a while we don't land a potential game changer. In the past, we've had our fair share and the #20 pick in the NBA draft reminds us it is possible (if the coach doesn't leave).

Ohio is making a habit of recruiting guys from Pick Central.

Current: Manley, Francis
Past: Culver, Tate, Levert, Watson

So is Huggy Bear at WVU, who has now offered Francis. And Manley. And Jerome Hunter from up the road at Picktown North.

I heard Huggy might be taking a long look at Newark's BJ Duling, who committed to Kent St. last winter.

This is interesting. Does Jamie Dixon have connections to central Ohio, or someone on his new staff who does?

Nothing notable to me in terms of Central Ohio. He has Corey Barker who spent a year in BG with Jans, but what I enjoyed seeing was our old friend Tom Herrion reunites with Jamie as a special assistant.

This is another one where hopefully, maybe, being the first to offer makes a difference.

It will make little difference, unless something happens that cools the ardor of the big timers while Ohio continues to give much love. Future150.com ranks him as the 2nd best sophomore PG nationally, and the 15th best player in his class overall...

The offers are only beginning for this young man, and I look forward to watching him here in Cbus over the next few seasons. Many power conference schools rarely offer kids before they are juniors. He'll have many to choose from over the next couple years...

Man I don't know how many times I said that coaching Little League baseball.....to not anywhere near the effect I hoped for. Especially on full counts - I guess that temptation of the walk just outweighed the fear of striking out.....

Hah! As a longtime baseball coach that really struck a chord. Not sure how many times I've had the look on my face that Tom Hanks had in League of Their Own when he was doing everything in his power to not rip into one of his players.

Jeremiah Francis, Sterling Manley and Pick Central host undefeated and #2 in Ohio Newark on Saturday night. Newark is coming off Saturday's 2-point win over defending state champ Westerville South. Look for 6-8 BJ Duling (Kent St. recruit) to outplay Manley (UNC recruit).

As a sophomore. If I were better, I'd bet he's going someplace bigger than A-town.
