Thinking about that 5th spot is interesting. Starting DT in the post along with Carter would give us a more traditional look 4/5 look. If you use AJ or Vander Plas in addition to Carter, that feels the closest to how I've imagined Saul's ideal style of play. Vander Plas at the 3 continues to blur the line between our wing and post players.

And of course you have Laster in the mix. In this scenario, he is the classic 6th man who would get big minutes and probably be on the floor a lot at the end of the game when it matters with his defensive presence.
My biggest concern here is that towards the end of games it might become "lets watch Simmons make a play" if the shots aren't falling for everyone else.
Hmmmmm......interesting to look back at this one now and how it ended for 5.

You have to admit had things gone the way we all hoped, Ohio could have had a darn good lineup of:

1. Simmons
2. Dartis
3. Laster
4. BVP
5. Carter

Though I'm not sure BVP would have started as a frosh, that would have been the best 5 in 2017-18.
Amazing that we are about to head into 2022 and Jason Carter and BVP are still on the roster! (wait, did I just find the bright-side to all this COVID nonsense?!?)

Also amazing, BVP could be a Bobcat AGAIN in 2022-2023!
I've brought this up a few times if BVP would consider a Super Super Senior year. Maybe if he could get some solid NIL money he'd consider it. What an incredible bonus that would be if he wanted to come back for one more.

I've wanted to plan a "ONE MORE YEAR!" chant if I happen to get the O-Zone rolling again. I'm sure he'd love it.

Totally agree. Hopefully CEllis and the Ozone can start chanting that after big baskets made by BVP or when he goes to the line.

Great ovation and "BVP" chant tonight when Ben left the game, I hope Ozone finds more opportunities for the chant going forward.

Love it...every business in Athens should be throwing NIL money at BVP to come back for one more year. Hope it happens. I know I wish would I have stayed 6 years in Athens...hahaha. BVP comes back and I truly believe this is a top 25 team returning.
