Enjoying these off-season features, but one question. When did Ayden go from 6'10 to 6'8? Many recruiting services his senior year listed him as 6'10. Ohio lists him as 6'8.

Everybody knows you add 2 inches.

verbalcommits still lists him 6'8''. I think we pull from there just to put something on the roster. AJ Clayton was 6'7'' and sub-200 on our roster when he was first posted.

I’d rather subtract 2 inches and minimize all other biometrics and stats. Let em think we are short and slow and zero stars and etc. …..

Worth a review as he departs and some put this in the 'recruiting D2 talent'. He was quite acclaimed when we signed him.

So was The Whiz. How did that work out? Should we revisit Ike Cornish and his rankings?

It was quite apparent from the get go that Evans could not play at this level. It really makes you wonder about these rankings. These coaches were clearly banking on his height and praying he would gain 40 pounds. They are still praying.

I will gladly come back here and say I'm wrong if Evans becomes a solid contributor for a division-one basketball team moving forward in his career.

I just don't see it.

It was so apparent multiple SEC schools decided to offer him, those fools!

And they all continue to be wrong. Dude isn't a division-one basketball player.

He may not be, but if the Court Street rumors are true we may possibly never know. Had he put in the work the staff was hoping for, maybe he would have. Hindsight is crazy.

If he did end up at an SEC school right now, it would be as a walk-on. If that.

They don't want jocks who can't bench press their own weight. There are punters and placekickers in the SEC that are better athletes.

This is a dumb comment. Athleticism was never an issue. It's easy to see any he was recruited. He still might be really good. Who knows.

This is a good read for anybody IGNORANT enough to think strength has nothing to do with athletic performance.

I just didn't see the athleticism at all. The Upgrade (Vic Searls) had more athleticism with moves around the bucket. Evans was frail and timid and he had great difficultly simply catching the ball.
