Impressive for the MAC, for sure. This will (maybe?) help validate the conference getting multiple bids and enhance the chances of multiple bids down the road. I was honestly a little surprised they both were 11 seeds. I recall Ohio being either a 13 or 14 a few years ago when our girls made it.

Both heading to Sweet Sixteen.

UB blasted Florida State on their home court.

CMU stomped the Buckeyes in Columbus.

And the MAC will have two teams in the women’s Sweet 16. Impressive.

Nice statement for the MAC and congrats to both CMU and Buffalo. This is BIG.

One can only imagine how disappointed the Buckeye fans are in losing to a MAC team since the Women's Final 4 is in Columbus this year.

I'm enjoying it personally. The MAC gets slighted every god dang year and the ball in this league is pretty darn good. Considering they had the #7 RPI as a conference, you'd figure they would have gotten 3 teams into the tournament based on that alone. Along with having 6 teams in the top 100 and 9 in the top 150, I'm already fed up with how the MAC got slighted.

Congrats to both. The Chips (30-4) with a big time take down of the No. 10 team in the nation at St John's Arena, their home court. And the Beefs by 21 over the no. 3 seed. Final 4? Who knows.
Saw both play at the Convo this year, two talented teams but our very young ladies only lost by 4 and by 2. Our whole team, but one, return.

I heard somewhere, can't remember where, that the MAC was very close to getting three teams in this year's NCAA tourney. Another MAC team (Toledo?) was supposedly the last team out.

I watched most of the CMU beatdown of A&M and it was a pleasurable experience. The Chip's three-point shooting was amazing. I think at one point they went something like 9 for 10 from three. As impressive was their dominance on defensive rebounding. The Buckeyes didn't get a whole lot of second tries.
