The conference tournament season officially kicked off last night, with the Atlantic Sun Quarter-finals. I enjoy watching the various conference tournaments, and found the link below showing when each tournament is going on. I thought some others on here might find it interesting as well.

The B1G is this week at MSG.

Not going over well with the teams.

The Big East has a long term contract with The Garden for their tournament, the week of selection Sunday.

So,to play at The Garden, they had to move the B1G Tournament up a week.

The teams don't like the idea of the extra week "lag" between the Tournament and the NCAA's.

Most people think that, because of the time frame, this will be a "one and done".

First two one seeds go down tonight. St. Peters (MAAC) and UNC-Ashville (Big South) claim those NIT bids.

Murray State, Radford and Loyola Chicago punched their NCAA tickets today. Watched a good bit of the Loyola/Illinois St. game. Wouldn't surprise me to see Loyola win a game or two.

Been a long time since I enjoyed Loyola. Going back to the days of Alfredrick Hughes. Been a while

I'll be rooting for the Ramblers next week. These are the stories in March that keep me watching.

When I lived in Tulsa, I remember watching Alfredrick Hughes light up Oral Roberts University 4 years in a row at the Mabee Center. What a talent...scoring machine. Hughes and Roosevelt Chapman are two of my favorite college players of all time. While in Tulsa, it was also the Nolan Richardson era. Great time to be a college hoops in that town in the early to mid 80s.

Love me some Velt. Saw him come to town and play vs Depaul and Loyola. Stud. Agree with him being one of the best I have seen in person.

My recent Michigan grad daughter is happy. I have to wonder if the 2 week lay-off will help or hurt the Big 10 teams in the Big Dance.

If the B10 does well it will be because they were "well rested".

If they don't do well it will be because they were "rusty."

That's how that story always goes.

Listened to an Ohio State player interview talking about the layoff today. He was not happy as he said "playing against each other gets old. At this time of year we just want to play games. Practices are shorter and things are clicking. We are ready to play but have to wait"

My 2003 UMich grad daughter doesn't even know they won, and doesn't care. Somehow I failed as a father to get her to care about college athletics.

I don't know who saw it, but the CAA final last night was hugely entertaining. I was happy to see C of C win because it's my sister and brother-in-law's alma mater, so they'll be enjoying the first weekend of March Madness.

The scenes of students rushing the floor reminded me of the 2005 MAC title game when OU folks took over The Q. Great scenes and experiences in both cases.

Yes, loved the court storm on a neutral floor. How about South Dakota vs. South Dakota State from Sioux Falls, SD? That place was lit.

Then you have the C-USA tournament doing an AAU setup: https://twitter.com/MrChadBishop/status/971138070853619712

I've been under the weather, so I didn't get to see the Summit.

What are they doing there for the C-USA? Men on one side, ladies on the other? Or are the playing two mens/ladies games at the same time? Regardless of the answer, that's an odd look.

Speaking of other conference tourney's, our old friend Jim Christian and his Eagles just beat NC State in the ACC Tournament. I'd say they're starting to turn the corner up there.

ASU loses by 12 to Colorado. Does our friend Bobby Hurley go from being ranked 3rd in the country to the NIT?

They can't possibly get an at-large after the last 3 weeks, can they?

There were 11,000+ in attendance for the Summit Championship on the men's side and well over 8,000 for the women's side.

Awesome. Also helps when it is South Dakota vs South Dakota State playing in both games, in South Dakota. Must have been a great atmosphere.
