If you're complaining about the no reserved seating, i'm guessing you've never attended a game or just love to complain. I've had reserved seats and maybe sat in them once. Just sit wherever you'd like. It's a 13,000 person stadium and on any given game maybe 7000 people show up (MAYBE).

The price hike matches literally every thing else right now with the inflation, heck it may even be under.

What about those (albeit rare) times that there are actually 10k in the building? Have you been present for one of those?

Point is, season ticket holders ought to have reserved seats, and ought to be treated differently than those who come for one game every 3 years.

It's easy to disregard a complaint when it doesn't directly affect you. I can only speak for myself and my family, we have had the same front row upper bowl seats for years. We have become quite close with those who sit around us. The front row was/is huge for us with a toddler who likes to run the row during the game (more room for him to do that). Can we still get those seats if we get there early enough? Sure. But with a toddler, how often do you think that happens? Not a lot. We don't go to a game or two, we go to EVERY game and I can admit we are creatures of habit. Will we stop going to games? Absolutely not, but we do not like the change.

To me, this ranks right up there with paying the University for a parking hang tag that doesn't guarantee me a parking spot. I don't like it, I think it's really dumb, but what choice do I have?

Exactly. I've sat in the same seats, next to the same folks, for 5-6 years as previously stated. Anyone who thinks we just like to complain, or thinks this move is "no big deal" mustn't care all that much, or mustn't go to many games, because it's a badly thought out move by the powers that be in The Convo. It's not good business, though I sometimes wonder if they consider any of the folks that aren't donating $500 or $1000 and upwards in decision making. Like 100% Cat, I'll still be there. But out of principle, I'll be spending less, and donating less this year, and will let them know why. I'll also suggest what I think could have been done because they could have made more money off me and others by doing it right instead of doing it easy.

I've had the same season tickets for 7 years now. There is a general group of people that have usually had season tickets and we all generally know each other. If you think a parking tag gets you a guaranteed spot, I'd like to see where you park. You must have a ton of money, so therefore pay for your reserved seat down low. The idea that you can't sit with your friends, because it's not guaranteed is kinda silly. Guess they aren't really your friends. Yea I have been at the 2 games where it has been 10K people and I just sat where I saw fit. It was just exciting to be there.

Truth be told, if you're upset about anything when you are paying less than 3 dollars a game per seat, I'm not sure there should ever be any complaints.

It doesn't sound like you work at Ohio University, so let me tell you how parking here works (and used to). Back in the good old days (like 5-6 years ago), being a full time employee of Ohio University got you a hang tag for Faculty/Staff lots. A spot wasn't guaranteed in any lot, but you had a tag. Now, you pay $150 extra for that same hang tag (yearly) that has the same guarantee: none. If I am paying for a parking tag, I'd at least like to know a spot is guaranteed since I am paying for it, but that's not the case.

If you were a season ticket holder and showed up to the Convo to be told "Sorry, we're full," how would that make you feel about paying for tickets?

While I don’t like the decision I don’t think it will make that big of a difference because there aren’t that many people at games and everyone will sit in the same seats.

Well I have supposedly had a Blue Lot pass for the Convo for years - But since I drive from Cbus to games I often cannot get there much before game start - and end up parking out in the Red section. EVEN when after I get in the Convo and see there not even 5K in the seats....ridiculous.

It's a "Bait & Switch"....

Blue lot passes have always been first-come, first-served as far as I know. However, I would lodge your complaint with the obnoxious number of tents in the tailgate park, which often severely limits parking there.
