Just listened to CJ McCollum on Pardon My Take podcast- great interview... he talked about his recruitment briefly- said he was recruited by BG, Miami, and Akron. He wanted to go to Akron but they gave his scholarship to Zeke Marshall. So my question for those of you who are always in tune to the recruiting- was Ohio ever in on him?
He was a big time late bloomer- with growth spurts lat in high school... but obviously enough on the radar that others looked at him. Anyway just curious if anyone had any insight here...

He was a freshman at LeHigh the same year Ohio had Cooper, Keely, Baltic, Horne and Kinney coming in. I'm gonna assume we were all in on Cooper at the time, but who knows. JG was a helluva recruiter. I'm sure he knew about CJ. I wasn't following Ohio's recruiting as tightly back then to know if we showed interest or offered.

I don't remember hearing much about CJ and Ohio recruiting back then as well. But I'm sure someone on here knows his situation well coming out of school. Always good to see a Zeke Marshall mention. There is a guy that never came close to reaching his full potential. He made the 7-Foot All-Charmin Team #Soft
