The data shows a big correlation between Final Four teams and African American admissions. Most of the Final Four teams are UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Big East ect. in a given year. Therefore I think the admission spike is tied to those programs having future NBA guys on the team who have been hyped all season long on sportscenter. It is star driven more than team driven. Ohio doesn't have any future NBA stars on it or highly touted national players. For this reason I don't think the success=applications model can work for Ohio. Football its the same thing; its not just wins but a big national player.

Loyola should be the perfect test case for the Flutie Effect advocates. In 2019, let's see if the freshman class and overall fundraising is markedly better than it was in 2017.
