Loyola Marymount is a much better team than USF. Let's hope we come in much more focused than yesterday.

Just came off of beating Georgetown, CSU Northridge, and UNLV. James Batemon is their top scorer and they are coached by former NBA coach, Mike Dunlap. This could get ugly.

Batemon is solid. Plays all 40 min too. Maybe these guys will get worn out ziplining and having fun today and be off their game tomorrow.

In general, I subscribe to your glass half-full theory, but I must admit that the performance against USF has me questioning my general optimistic outlook on all things Bobcat. This almost had the feeling of Billy Hahn territory to me. I hope that they turn it around tonight, and we'll look back after a long winning streak and see this as an anomaly. But, I must admit, my Bobcat Optimism Meter is at an near all-time low for the basketball program. It hasn't been this low since the days of the aforementioned Mr. Hahn. Who can ever forget Ohio Wesleyan winning 122-115 in the Convo? [To be fair Hahn's team did beat Tennessee that year and got to the MAC finals, but it was downhill from there, and the following season we finished next to last in the MAC regular season.]

We opened as 6pt. underdogs but it now stands at 5. Keep in mind that we went into USF as 6pt.favorites.

I was at that Ohio Wesleyan game- was the guys name Scott Tedder? Scored 50... The frustrating thing with that team was having NBA talent like Snoop and Jamerson and still failing. Was that they year the MAC did the idiotic tourney where the bottom of the bracket teams played in the AM and then had to play the #1 seed again at night? 2 games in one day... unreal.

Said this last year, or was it the year before, but this is a team without an identity. Definitely not a 3-pt shooting team. Not an athletic, up-and-down the court team. Not a team that can pound it inside or play inside-out. We start a point guard who is definitely not a point guard but can't be considered a shooting guard either.

What are we?

And now a team without Jason Carter on the floor to start the second half.

3 yesterday as well. I loved TK last year. Not sure what changed but going through people is not the way to get to the hoop. Sad to see.

A below average MAC team.

I have no idea on offense. From 2015 to 2017 we had an identity running horns through Tony and Kenny. Now, I have no idea.

To the team's credit, I thought the defensive effort was tremendous.

A team of shooters, but no one can make a shot.

Block seems to be regressing this year. I hope he can turn it around.

Is Block playing hurt? Sure looks like he's struggling getting up and down the court.

Wow. Just, wow. It is early and at 2-2 we are still at .500 but we have a difficult schedule outside of the MAC. I just don't know what SaulBall is supposed to look like. When you're not hitting 3's what offense do you run? I don't know yet because we kept throwing up awful shots. They didn't even look good coming out of their hands or landing. Doug is non-existent on defense and in the post. Preston plays solid defense but cannot score. Block has regressed horribly (I wonder if he is mad at not starting) and Cowart looks like Culver Lite. Carter is working hard and Vander Plas is solid. Why James doesn't play I don't know. He has the nicest looking shot in the team. And Kirk is out of control even more than last year. He will probably transfer at year's end. He just looks lost and doesn't seem to care. Nice to see that with two injuries we have three new guys who can't even sniff the floor and one that plays 2 minutes. Nice recruiting Saul. I am so disappointed and disaffected with this program. I found myself doing work during the game because I couldn't just sit there.

Nothing more to add. Some have already recognized which players have taken two steps back. Player development is just lacking big time. And I have no idea what type of game #4 is running...none at all. He probably leads the nation in turnovers. Team shot 6-50 from three point land in Jamaica and Saul just allowed them to chuck it. McMurray, James and Murrell already appear to be out of the rotation. Let's hear from ya Saul apologists...let's hear from ya. #FutureIsBright
