Buffalo is athletic and can’t be pressed but they rush their shots, they have missed about 20 open threes. Our strategy should be to let them shoot threes, Graves is a freak and Williams is pretty smooth.

How was that not a flagrant 1?

Butler and Miami
Purdue Ball State

Both this weekend

Looks like the MAC is taking on some pretty good pre-conference games. The St John's game was pretty good. Falcons looked competitive but the big men took away any chance to win. Still not sure how long they can keep Coach. He seems to be less than ready.

Bolden goes down and then WVU can't score. Big shot by Massinburg.

Our program has a long way to go before we can get to where Buffalo is. So impressive what Nate Oats is doing. Dude can recruit, recruit and recruit.

Buffalo was forced to check out of their hotel at noon and still won a late game. Shame on the MAC or the Buffalo athletic department, good win though.

Most impressive stat, other than Massinburg's career high?
UB outrebounds a more physical WVU 50-46.

Speaking of Massinburg, his two free throw misses with 10 seconds left prevented UB from reaching the century mark. UB prevails despite Massinburg's failings.

Fortunately, we don't play the Buffs until mid-January, thus giving us some time to sort our mess of new pieces out. What's the line if we play them right now at their place? Is it Buffs -16? Is it -18? More? Less?

Great win for Buffalo and the MAC. Massinburg unreal.

Fear Leon: We do have catching up to do, but I think we will see progress this year. Btw, Coach Oats says the best two big men in the MAC are Perkins and Jason Carter.

Wait. You mean #SaulBall can't go on road to a Big XII school and win .... or go 11-1 in football and win the MAC East?

I mean ... Ohio obviously doesn't have the facilities to compete with Buffalo ... or pay their coaches nearly as much as Buffalo does.

Buffalo is just operating at a different level than the rest of the MAC. There's no way Ohio can keep up with schools like Buffalo, with their rich tradition and huge fan base ... it's just not even fair to suggest Ohio keep up with them.
