I've only seen bits and pieces on here concerning Jordan's status for this year. Reading between the lines it obviously sounds like his season is in doubt. Anyone have a real good update here?

I was told by someone I trust that they are waiting for the Ok from the doctor...and he has repeatedly declined to offer it so far.

I thought I heard Russ say on Saturday's broadcast that he would be out for non conference games and possibly return for MAC play.

I think we can redshirt him and he will stay. Would be nice to put him with JC, TK, Cowart and BVP for another year.

Way too risky to redshirt a guy who would be allowed to transfer next year and play right away.

What if can only go a few games? Do you use him only then when he's rusty? This is an interesting situation if he is truly as in pain as they are saying. If he's good for the MAC sked then I'm all for it but by then we should have a rotation and guys with confidence. I don't feel like trotting him out just out of fear of transfer is a good idea when guys like Cowart, Preston, James or even Murrell may be sitting in his shooter role and excelling.

I said it last year and I haven't changed my mind (spoiler: I have no insider information and also hope I'm wrong).

I think we've seen the last of Jordy in a Bobcats uniform.

He's already behind schedule and still having hip issues. He's already going to miss all of/the bulk of the non-conference schedule. Now we're debating on if it will be possible or worth it to bring him back for conference play. I think the staff and doctors error on the side of caution and hold him out.

He graduates this year. Even if we redshirt him - I think he either hangs up the sneakers, or transfers somewhere else next year. Mostly because I think a season without Dartis doesn't bode well for this years team, which in turn means I doubt Saul is back next year. Jordan isn't going to come back for a new coach next year IMO.

I too think it's doubtful that he will return and be a contributor, after all he's been out for over a year.
I also doubt, that if he doesn't play this year or is only used sparingly he will end his career.
This was an unfortunate situation for a very good player to end his career in this fashion.

Huh? Jordy hasn't been out for over a year, he played in our last game against Miami in early March. Granted he was playing in pain and didn't play his usual minutes, but he was on the floor.

Man are we jumping the gun on this one or what? Let's see how it plays out before we write off Jordy's future.

FWIW, he still averaged a career high in points, assists, rebounds while shooting 44% from three and 84% from the free throw line. On bad hips.

He's worth the wait.

i only want what is best for jordan.

if he redshirts, graduates and transfers id miss him on the court but tip my hat to him and cheer for him.

(disclosure: Fiami excluded, of course!)
