As Eagle66 announced in another thread, WMU losing Reggie Jones. Regular contributor who averaged 10 points on the team this season so it's a pretty big loss.

NIU big man Owen Hamilton transferring as well. Played sparingly for the Huskies throughout the year.

Is that his 7th school in 4 years? Yikes. (<--sarcasm alert)

Arkley posted that Eric Parrish is out at Akron. Virshon Cotton also transferring.

So that's three kids leaving Akron after their freshman year with Patton, Parrish, and Cotton. I wonder if this is troubling to the Akron fans?

That's a makeshift class that was put together. That's almost like Saul's first year when Ryan Taylor left.

I always judge the class after a coach's 2nd year. At that point, you're ingrained enough with the school and area that you should be getting kids and have had a year to fully recruit.

Groce said he would be cleaning house. He just signed two JUCO guards, I believe we recruited one before (Jeremy Roscoe). He has a huge glut of two guards, I guess he is following Buffalo's model. The fans may not be happy, he was part of their Houston pipeline and he played a lot, but Groce is setting the standard.

I think he'd be a nice addition, but I'm not sure he fits the mold of what Saul & Co have said they're looking for: transfers that can contribute right away.

Hot off the press... not even on that list yet...

Larry Austin (Guard... Xavier and then Vandy) ... one year left as grad xfer
Peyton Willis (Guard...Vandy) will have to sit and then 2 years left**

**unconfirmed rumor he was leaning toward MTSU but their coach may be taking the Ole Miss job any minute now, so that does complicate things. He's pretty good and is big for a guard. But Saul doesn't have an open grant, so he'll just have to go to some other lucky mid-major.
Larry Austin, Jr to Central Michigan.

I was not talking about for the MAC, I was talking about for his program. If the players don’t buy into his vision they have to go and he is bring in his own guys. Nate Oats is the best recruiter in the Mac and he has the most talent. Other teams have to come up with a system that will put them at a competitive disadvantage. Saul ball or any other system needs to be able to overcome Buffalo’s talent. Princeton would run a system of back cuts and slow down teams by using the whole shot clock, by getting good shots, Princeton could always set their defense. They also mastered different zone defense concepts.

This kid is going to play somewhere as a grad transfer (at least he's on the list)

**UPDATE: Never mind. He's already just committed elsewhere.

Ibi Watson was on UD's campus yesterday taking an unofficial visit. Sounds like it's between Ohio, Dayton and Duquesne.

Do you think he can play enough D to stay in JG's good graces? He wasn't the greatest defender or rebounder at UD. Always seemed mostly like a spot up shooter in the games I watched.
