What's the spread on this game? Sagarin has Radford as a two point favorite.

Finally, we get to see a clear out for Carter. When teams go on 8-0 runs, that should be our go to move.

Radford won at Texas. Radford won at Notre Dame. Radford didn't win at Ohio. Solid win.

Stats that stood out to me: Our three bigs combined to go 14-15 from the ft line. Doug Taylor had 16 rebounds (11 defensive).

A few areas of concern: Kirk had 7 turnovers, 17 for the team. We are still only playing 7 guys, and it doesn't look like that will change until Gollon and Dartis get back.

An impressive win against a quality team. It's hard not to acknowledge that we looked well-coached (I'm sure someone out there will quibble.) The defense and rebounding are solid and every guy contributed. This group plays as a team and the newcomers are becoming more confident. I have no argument with the 7-man rotation since no one else has stepped up in prior games. You do wonder if the confidence shown at home can go on the road. The injury to Gollon may be a blessing in disguise since it has allowed others an opportunity to gain experience and confidence.

Gonna say this along with Ruck until we're blue in the face:

Having Jason Carter matters more than we liked to think. I knew Jason was good and knew how dreadful it was to lose him last year, but this group looks like a completely different team when he's playing. Doug and Gavin seem like they are playing much better with him back in the lineup since all of the focus isn't on them. TK has driving lanes and can grab boards when the other team tries to move Doug, JC and BVP out of the paint.

Just need to cut out the silly turnovers and this team could turn into something special.

Radford's pressure was good, felt like they had 7 defenders out there a few times and they were very tough getting second chance points to stay in the game whenever it seemed like we could pull away. TK makes things happen... A couple turns I know he'd like back but he was just very very effective. I think it's amazing how different a game we seem to play this year versus last year with our personnel changes and our interior health. I like our rebounding and defense... this seems like Saul's best defensive team by far, which seems like something that could carry us a long way. get the TOs down around 12 instead of 16-17 and we can be a very dangerous team.

Congrats on the quality win. Ohio will be no pushover in conference play. The MAC has been looking better overall as we advance through the non-conference schedule.

Missed the game because of a wedding, but this is a very quality win. Carter is on a mission. Will be interesting to see this team take shape once Gollon gets back. I'm not even counting on Darts after reading the comments here.

Feel like we need at least one of them... we have to have one more guy who can be counted on to hit outside shots

+1 I agree with all of the observations here by bernie and billy. This team is showing a lot of potential. With Preston, Carter, BVP and TK, this is a very young team. They are just learning how to play together. I'm really impressed with Preston. He sees the court very well, makes good passes to open team mates and can drive to the rim very well. In my mind he will eventually make a better PG than TK, who I think would be more comfortable with more of a shooting rather than a distributor role. As with a lot of young teams, they play much better in the friendly confines of the home arena. But, being undefeated at home is impressive. The football team was undefeated at home this year through the whole schedule. That would be a high order for the basketball team to do, but right now I would not rule it out. Bring on Buffalo! ;-)

We looked like a well coached team yesterday, kudos to Saul. I see Preston growing, he was docile and now he is being a triple threat, carter is great. DT is making teams rush and miss layups. We did better against the dribble drive, let’s keep it going.

My long term outlook for this season was pretty off it appears. After Jamaica & scuffling win over Austin Peay ... my hopes for this season were not just low, they were pretty nonexistent.

But after what I've seen the last few weeks, I think this team can definitely contend for a top four spot in the MAC.

To dismantle Iona & Marshall the way they did and to hang at Xavier for 35 minutes and then collect a solid home win over Radford, this team is coming together.

I said earlier I wouldn't be surprised if they went 0-5 vs Iona, Marshall, Xavier, Radford & Purdue. Seems 3-2 at worst.

I think it's obvious this team plays well at home. So an 8-1 or 7-2 MAC home record is certainly realistic.

That should mean a 4-5 road record gets them to about 11-7 in the league ... and possibly a top four seed?

They still need to prove it on the road. Nice tests at Detroit & Purdue upcoming. A split there and a win over FIU would wrap non conference at 8-4. Much better than I expected early on.

Still don't think Ohio or anyone in MAC will seriously challenge Buffalo ... but a weekend run in Cleveland might be in the cards.

Either way ... glad I was wrong for now on this team. Seems like MAC season will be intriguing.
