Wilberforce is playing UT Martin on Monday and a school in St. Louis on Tuesday before coming to Athens on Wednesday. Oof!

If it were on 11/10 instead of 11/7, or 11/12 for Campbell, I'd be there. I'm puzzled by no 11/10 game.

Yeah, whoever scheduled this game left his or her thinking cap on the bar stool. You'd have to know that OHIO would have a football game on a weekday night -- Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday -- and you'd avoid those days.

I have two tickets that'll go free to any Bobcat fan that wants them. Please PM if interested.

Bingo. Surely, surely there were other dates available with Wilberforce. If not, find someone else. That, and honestly, play a road game instead of these non-D1 games if they're not gonna be on a Saturday.

Can anyone tell me why this game is at the same time as our football game against Miami?

Are they trying to ensure no one shows up or watches?

Just a puzzling dumb decision.

For some reason the game on Monday against UT-Martin was cancelled. They lost last night to Harris-Stowe 100-80 to fall to 3-2 on the year. They play Toledo on Saturday.

For some reason the game on Monday against UT-Martin was cancelled.
Is sounds like sanity kicked in. That's a brutal turnaround.

You're aware that the opponent has to agree to the date/time as well, right?

And it would have been devastating if Wilberforce backed out. Seriously, tell them we're playing on Thursday or the game's off. It would have made more sense to play at 5 pm today even.

Halftime thoughts -

Wilberforce is bad. I mean real bad. That being said still a lot to glean from this game.

I love the way that Jason Preston moves the ball and then moves without the ball.
Antonio Cowart is going to be very good. He didn't force anything and still popped in 9 points.
Ben Vanderplas is going to be very good and he's bigger than I expected. Good court vision and good hands.
Torey James should be in the rotation. He also moves well without the ball and made a couple of really good passes.
When Preston and Kirk are in the backcourt together we could boast the worst looking outside shots in a backcourt in the country.

Jason Carter, still incredible. One word...positioning.

BVP could be a foul trouble guy but he looks good as does Cowart & Preston.

Maybe a little more athletic than recent years. Good hustle and effort, especially on rebounding.

Very concerned about outside shooting without Dartis or Gollon. You have to figure opponents will stack the paint and make us shoot from outside.

Yep, freshman bigs usually are.

What got me excited tonight was the options that Saul has. Much more versatile lineup than last year.

Jeesh...what part of Murrell did you guys miss with my post? Murrell went 0-6 in 9 garbage minutes. That JUCO shooting guard...not Cowart. I could not have been more clear and then somebody thought I was talking about Cowart that confused everyone. Ha....tremendous.

You stated "tell me we didnt recruit a JUCO SG that cant crack the rotation". You implied Saul cant recruit. I'm pointing out that we got 2 JUCOs, and I believe Murrell was recruited as a SF. Cowart, I believe, is going to be very good. I dont think we should be too worried about our 3 point shooting after 1 game. Would you be making these same statements if he hd gone 2-4 from 3?

When you recruit a JUCO...you do so with the expectation that he will contribute right away. My point with Murrell....and I know it's only one game...is that it's not a good sign if he's getting in with only 9 minutes left against an NAIA school. Especially when he's supposedly one of the best shooters on the team and we have our two best 3 point shooters sidelined with injuries. That is my point.
