I'm fascinated by the love being given to EMU and Kent. Thankfully, that's why they play the games.

Miami at #2 is the surprising pick to me. Must be putting a lot of faith in new recruits.

Also, not much love for Groce.

I think Akron will finish higher than Ohio. Have a feeling Groce will have his guys ready to play this year. A lot of "what-ifs" for Saul.

Akron lost their best transfer recruit, we better whoop them. Go Cats

He also has a lot of older players, and no freshmen, so maybe that works out well for them. I think this could be one of the more exciting MAC seasons in some time. I'm hoping (though not expecting) this could be that year the league manages the second bid.

Eric Hester a transfer from Florida who shot 50% from three and 65% overall. He may be 6’3 but he has a 6’10 wingspan. He would have been a nightmare.

Do you know what happened? All I've seen is that he's not on their roster anymore but no explanation.

I am not sure, but I am glad for our sake. He may have been talked into going to Nevada with Eric parish who left Akron, so he may go juco this year and go there next year.

Agree--especially on EMU! Didn't the experts pick EMU high in football too?

SI.com ranks all D1 programs 1 thru 353. OHIO is ranked at 191. The following MAC programs are ranked lower than us: Western Mich., Central Mich., Kent, Miami and Northern Ill.

Woof. That is ugly stuff.

Not sure this is a two-bid league ... will need some teams to pull some hefty road wins.

UB has a few opportunities. EMU has put together a nice group of P5 games. But after that ... it's not a lot of quantity per team ... just a few quality ones for each.

Buffalo at WVU
BG at St Johns
WMU at Ole Miss
Miami at Butler
Ball at Purdue
BG at VCU
EMU at Duke
VT vs. Ball
USF vs Ohio
WMU vs. UC
EMU vs. Rutgers
Kent at Vandy
EMU at TCU
Miami at Xavier
CMU at TCU
Ohio at Xavier
NIU at Butler
Kent at Louisville
WMU at Michigan
MTSU vs. Toledo
Buffalo at Syracuse
WMU at Dayton
Ohio at Purdue
Buffalo at Marquette
Kent at Oregon St
Akron at Nevada
NIU vs. Michigan St
EMU at Kansas

Spoiler alert: It's not a two-bid league.

Buffalo goes 15-1 in the league. goes 28-2 regular season, loses on a bad shooting night in the conference finals on a last-second hail mary half-court shot to finish 29-3 with wins over cuse, wvu and marquette.

could then be a two-bid league considering their performance in the dance last year.

just saying...

Even Snopes and factcheck agree there has been deep NCAA conspiracy to keep the MAC a one bid league.

Ball State will be pretty good with KJ Walton, we will have a very competitive league and we should have some top 25 upsets, the leagues problem is consistency.
