So, referring to your own statement as a "solid observation" is a thing now? Does that apply to "hot takes" too?

Kids these days...

They're at it again. EMU's getting smoked by Rutgers, 31-4 at the half.

Edit: First Half stats -- 2-25 from the field, 0-5 from 3, 0-7 at the line, 13 turnovers.

I believe it tied the record for least points in a half in the shot clock era, previously set when Eastern Michigan held Northern Illinois to 4 points in the first half in 2013.

So the EMU fanbase must be livid. All 6 of them.

Glad to know that Tim O’Shea doesn’t hold that record with a single digit 1st half performance.

That is top shelf futility. For at least one half of basketball, it made me feel better about Ohio's 3-point shooting. ;)

EMU, 0-for-7 at the line in the first half, heated up in the second half to finish 3-for-17 at the line for the game for a whopping 17.6%.

From the free throw line, the charity stripe, 15 feet from the basket with no defender putting a hand in your face. 17.6%!

I remember a Convo game in the mid 2000's packed to the gills for Dad's weekend where Central Michigan was struggling to get to double digits. The biggest cheer of the day from the sizable crowd was of the Bronx variety when CMU finally got to 10 or 11 points.

3 of ten in the second half, preceded by 0-7 in the first half. But please, tell me more, MAC Media and coaches, about how EMU is a favorite to win the league. Oooffff.
