This is oak hill. The athleticism is amazing. Has anybody seen the kid from Murray State. In my opinion, you either have to have great athletes or incredible shot makers or a great scheme or game plan or of course a mixture of the three. Midmajors can beat majors when they have good athletes that can make shots (Buffalo). Buffalo has four to five guards that could start for any team in the MAC.

Wait, 5 people actually think we would lose to a high school team? I mean, really?

I'm guessing they replied shortly after the poll was initiated at 2am.

I believe you're misinformed.
Oak Hill has three teams, Gold, Red, White. The Gold team is their travel team, currently 16-1. Only loss was to Imhotep Charter out of PA last weekend in FL. Their entire Sr class has D-1 rides, all five of them. None have committed yet. Their PG is ranked as #4 player in 2019 class. Imagine what he'd do to our guards. They're center is a Top 50 player (6'10", 250lbs)

Their Red team is their local high school team. They beat Roanoke Catholic 51-34 on 1/11.

The White teams is 8th and 9th graders. They play a JV schedule.

The Red and White teams are not feeders to the Gold team. They reload the Gold every year with more Top 300 players.

Except for Carter, I doubt anybody on the Bobcats would start right now for Oak Hill.

Correction: Their center Cofi Cockburn committed to Illinois over Pitt, UCon and Kansas last weekend.
Most big time teams are at HoopHall Classic this weekend and they expect a lot of committment announcements.

Ja Morant from Murray? He's awesome with a capital "A" to quote Vitale.

He's from a town near Columbia SC, so somebody on the staff at Murray (several states away) was awake enough to spot the underrated overlooked prospect of that class. There is a difference between signing a kid who has every skill it takes and was somehow overlooked by a number of schools... and... signing scrubs and then hoping against hope that by some miracle they will blossom into legit D-1 basketball players.

Just saying.

I looked up Hocking Hawks men's basketball last night. Granted its still in process. I saw the pictures of some of the athletes from all over. it sounds interesting, They play Columbus State at home next week. I am going to check it out. I see no kids on the roster from Athens County, even surrounding counties

Other info: he only had one, maybe two D1 Offers, much like Massinburg. Sometimes luck probably plays a role from the recruiting side of the equation.

You have to be able to scout talent, Buffalo has five guards that could start for any Mac team, some had few offers and some had lots of offers.
