That's what one mid major team did to another last night. South Dakota State scored 90 points in the first half against Savannah State. The Jackrabbits had three players go for 25+. Their 3-point percentage was higher than their FG percentage. They play with pace and bomb away from three. Savannah State does as well, but couldn't hit the mark well enough. Between both teams, there were 86 three point attempts.

God love college basketball.

Well, back in the 1950s, Bevo Francis once scored 113 points in a 134-91 Rio Grande win over Hillsdale College. That's more than 90 points by just one player. Was that "real basketball"?

BTW, that single game scoring record has since been eclipsed. It's a record I thought would stand forever.

* 5 players scored more than 24 points for the Lions.

I don't get why someone would say something like that. Old guys used to put up a hundred points counting by 2.
