I have been seeing this a lot lately and the UK finish just makes me scratch my head one more time. Here is the question: Why do teams continue to double drivers and post men in the lane leaving the wide open three?

Situation: At the end of the UK game there is a driver in the lane and UK goes to double/triple him. The driver kicks it out to a wide open three and Seton Hall (down two) wins with the three ball. I say guard the three point line and let the guy have a two. Worse case you go to double overtime but at last you don't lose!

My point: give 'em a two but contest the three? That is a lot different than the 70s philosophy when you guarded the lane but guys now are so much better shooting the three! So, I say GUARD 'EM OUT THERE!

I didn’t see the game but was the double/help from a one-pass away defender?

In this case, I would have fouled in the back court. There was so little time left.
