Ohio is 25 for 117, a 3P% of .214 as a team. BVP has made 10 of the 25.
Ohio is ranked 353rd in NCAA D1. There are 353 D1 teams. Dead last. The next closest at #352 is Princeton at .232. The gap of 18 points is the largest gap between teams in the entire rankings.
To make you feel better though...I went ahead and looked at the D2 stats, and out of 304 teams, Ohio would be ranked #302. Virginia Union, Pitt-Johnstown, and LIU Post have been worse.
In D3, Ohio would be ranked #414 out of 416. Becker, Staten Island, and Keystone have been worse. To be fair to these teams though, they are not as far along in their season and have played only 1-3 games.
All together, Ohio is ranked 1,068th out of 1,073 teams.
While this may seem like a negative/slam post, I actually choose to view this as an encouraging thing. We knew this would be a problem without Dartis/Gollon, but there is no way they are this bad. Carter 0 for 10.
Block from .338 1st 3 years to .238. Kirk from .400 to .143. No where to go but up from here. And in spite of this nastiness, we survived the games we were supposed to win and sit at 3-2. Hopefully Dartis and/or Gollon return soon to help the problem...but even without that I choose to believe the law of averages will help us a little here too.
