Just let him run the show from here on out. We've all been asking for this for weeks now. I'll let someone else do the stat digging on Preston's Assist/TO ratio. He must have shot some guns with GMan this week. #WinnerWinnerChickenDinner

Agreed. Groom Preston to be the full time point guard.

Ran into the coaches over at Flyin' to the Hoop, this was supposed to happen prior to the concussion that was sustained. They felt he has a better feel for situations on the floor in regards to being a floor general.

Wonder if there was anyone in particular they were there to see.

51 assists and 23 turnovers for a 2.2 ratio. Had 8 assists and 0 turnovers vs Ball St. on 1/12 then suffered the concussion vs Kent St., missed Toledo game and then back tonight.

That is efficiency at the PG position.

My two-cents worth from a fan in the stands: I've been saying for weeks Preston should be our PG. TK has been playing out of position. Right now Preston does better when TK is not on the floor. I think it's because TK is then "in charge." When both TK and JP are on the floor at the same time, JP defers to the TK 'cause he's then the point guard. The only solution I see to this is to tell TK he's no longer the PG, and let him play small forward when he's on the floor. As long as he's the PG, we are going be less than optimum when he's on the floor. That being said, I thought it interesting that TK's best assist of the night was to JP.

I agree here. Especially based on what we saw last night. We were a better team with Preston running the point. I thought we were even better when TK wasn't on the floor at all. Even with Preston and TK on the floor together, the ball seemed to stick and the flow slowed down. Granted, TK got us a few big buckets in the second half, but it felt like the offense was much more efficient without him on the floor, period.

Is there any page(s) online that shows +/- for NCAA basketball? ESPN doesn't show that stat.

Jason Preston has 8 more assists than TK in 100 less minutes and from a position not built for assists. He has 55(!) less turnovers than TK.

This is literally the biggest no-brainer in all my time watching Bobcat basketball. If TK is rolled out there Saturday as the starting/main PG while Preston stays on the wing, I will be completely dumbfounded. It would be like putting a batter with a .275 OBP at leadoff everyday thru July while you have another guy with a .415 OBP batting 7th.

I am excited to see this team with Preston bringing the ball up the court and TK available on the wings to pick his spots to apply his excellent driving to the hoop talent. If I am deprived of that I'll be one cranky fan.

But nobody else recruited him, so he can't be that good.

Makes you wonder that if everybody that watches this team sees it why can't the person that matters. #polaroids?

Growing up quickly....another solid performance against Balls for the Presto-Meter.

Agreed. 28 minutes, 0TO, 2A, 2S, 1R, 10pts. Was more aggressive taking shots and hit 5 of 9. Career high for attempts?
