Do we really need a new thread every time there's a new article any the NIL? Aren't there like 39 different discussions ongoing that this could be posted to?

"For the athletes to receive these benefits, the NCAA will require them to be enrolled full-time, meet Division I progress-toward-degree requirements."

Glad they included that. The lowest of low bars.

How long before that's challenged in court?

The era of "I didn't come here to play no school!" may be upon us before we know it. Why does a semi-pro, minor league, football or basketball program need to have any academic requirements at all?

No, but it does hearken back to the 19th Century concept of "ringers."

It's insane that this isn't a crazy question to ask.

College sports have officially gone MAGA. No dissent to all of the power concentration since the pandemic for the Big Ten and SEC.
