OU down two starters (Hadaway, Brown) with a third definitely limited by injury (Clayton). Mitchell, James, and Sheldon were 3-16 from 3. Can't have both of those things and win many games.

I see no "wanting it" or "toughness" issues with this team.
Anyone who says a team lost because they didn’t want it bad enough, never played sports. That is a ridiculous comment.
I said something along those lines and I played sports, at Ohio actually.

"Wanting it" means, to me, the intensity and focus and effort a team puts forth in the contest. IMO, EMU played with much more of those factors than we did.

Is that the only reason we lost? No. I do think it was a factor in why we lost, especially early in the game. Do I think we didn't "want" it? No, they play to win every game. I just thought EMU brought more on that particular night.

+1 besides playing at Ohio.

I'll also add we're nearing the end of a disappointing season. It's not unheard of (not necessarily ours) that some players might have one foot in and one out as a byproduct of that in today's college sports.

The U just signed Duke's assistant coach. They have a game Saturday.

Crazy what is going on in college sports these days.

I don’t buy that at all. No matter how disappointing this season may be, ( I don’t think that) we still have another chance in the MAC tourney.

We definitely have a chance. I think it's pretty low probability, but it's non-zero for sure. Maybe 10%? Hard to put a number on it without seeing the draw and knowing AJBs status.

Buy what? That 18-22 year olds might mentally check out of something that hasn't gone their way?

Sure, I don't disagree there's a chance come MAC tourney time. However, odds are very, very, slim as BLSS stated above.
