Great exchange between Bolden and Jake in the postgame interview where Coach lauds Jake for his toughness and hydration in battling through a cold to get the job done behind the mic.

Well done Bob and Jake!

Random slight off-topic question:

What’s attendance like for the woman’s games? I remember it being decent in 05, but sorely lacking after that.

Did not see the official attendance figures last Wednesday, but I would estimate maybe between 2,500 and 3,000. The same for Ball State game the previous week. There was a somewhat higher attendance at the Central Michigan game a few weeks ago, and I believe the Purdue game. I was at the Ball State and Akron games. The other games mentioned I watched on the tube.

I did not look it up but it seems like the ladies are blowing the doors off opponents in the first 3 quarters and struggling in the 4th. The games I have been able to see, I wonder if they alter their offensive approach too much. Like a football team with a 10 point lead who does 3 HB draws and punts.

Obviously I am nitpicking...they are kicking ass. But the 4th quarter struggles worry me. I thought the game was in the bag then it got uncomfortable.

Haha, thanks Grover. Boldon and company always have a way of ragging on me. All credit goes to him and the team, though. They're putting together one heckuva season. Hope to see you out at a game this year.

Tough one at Toledo next.. No MAC game is easy.

Received one top 25 vote today, only MAC team in the "top 35".

Keep it rolling Bobcats, get #21 at Toledo on Wednesday!

Ladies got smoked in Toledo 76-50. Another really bad 4th quarter...curious if there are any theories out there to explain the poor 4th quarter performance? The last 6 games 4th quarters:

Toledo - 10-26
CMU - 11-21
Akron - 23-14
Ball St - 11-14
Miami - 3-14
BGSU - 22-27

It wasn't just a bad 4th quarter...it was the entire game. The ladies had one of those nights that, aside from Hooks, no one was able to hit the broad side of the barn. I believe the shooting percentage was in the 20's and they were something like 2 of 26 from 3. You won't win many games like that. Toledo is a quality team with some good players.
I'm confident that the ladies will regroup and Coach will get them headed back in the right direction again.

They shoot a ton of 3's, and when those are not falling, you will have that.
