Went to the women's game this evening. Wanted to get some positive hardwood vibes for a change and the Lady Bobcats did not disappoint. The final score was 92-70, and the game was never really in doubt. The thing that impressed me the most was the team work. They really seem to have great chemistry and no one cares who scores. It's just get the ball to the open gal. Great ball movement and great movement without the ball. Seemed like a well-oiled machine most of the time. I expect to see them in the NCAA tournament this year. I actually did see some speculation that the MAC will get three teams in this year. If so, OHIO is a near cinch.

Have my room booked in Cleveland, one step at a time OCF.

yep, same way I felt several years ago about the volleyball team. Great year, had beaten OSU on neutral court. Didn't win MAC tourney, but I thought they'd get in. Nope, but guess who did: TOSU. I believe we had the highest RPI of any team that was not invited that year. Lesson: You can depend on the NCAA to screw MAC teams, so you better win the conference tournament.

Yep, lots of politics in NCAA land and the MAC has felt the brunt of it for a long time, haven't had 2 men's team in the tourney for many years. But in women's bball, they did get 2 in last year and both went to the sweet 16 so they're learning not to mess with the ladies. Four teams have a chance to dance this year and I'd love to see 3 get in.

This team can get its scoring from virtually anybody. Very versatile. Burris, Hooks, Burke, Johnson, Doseck, any one of them can and do produce a 20+ point night. Last night, Johnson and Burke were big early and Burris scored a lot late. Keep the train rolling.

This week's bracket projection from ESPN: http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/bracketology

Ohio, Central Michigan and Buffalo all in the tournament. Miami is the seventh team out. Ohio technically is listed in the MAC auto qualifier spot for being in first place at the moment. It appears the Bobcats would be right on the bubble without that. Buffalo is a 10 seed and Ohio 11, and Buffalo is listed as one of the last four teams in. Central Michigan has an 8 seed.

And we just beat Central on their home court
