I agree the key is defending and limiting Avery and Walker. Another tough assignment for Cowart.

KenPom predicts a 74-69 win or 67% chance of winning. The Kent St. offense averages 106.6 points per 100 posessions (ranks 109th) and goes against an Ohio defense only allowing 96.6 (52nd-best nationally). The Flashes shoot the three well (36.5% ranks 70th) and don't turn the ball over. They have turnovers on just 16.4% of possessions (ranks 35th).

Meanwhile, the 290th-ranked Ohio offense (96.6/100) squares off against the Kent St. 279th-ranked defense (108.1/100). Ohio turns the ball over on 22.1% of possessions (ranks 316th), does not shoot the three (30.9% ranking 294th) or free throws (64.4% ranking 318th) well. The Kent St. D allows offenses to rebound 32.1% of their misses (ranks 300th), and doesn't defend the two (allows 52.2% ranking 237th) or three (allows 35.4% ranking 235th) well.

Watch out posting negative things like that! Next thing you know someone will tell you you're not a true fan for posting negative facts. Like how Saul doesn't control any aspect of a game inside the 40 minutes. How we were tied at 41 and allowed Kent to go on a huge run with no timeout called and no adjustment made. Or how we are 0-and-freakin-2 AT HOME IN THE MAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But please, someone get on here and tell me how I'm not a true fan and how it's not Saul's fault because Dartis and McMurray are out.

I figured out what Saul Ball is. Allow your undisciplined point guard to take 22 shots and make 4. Twenty two freaking shots...4-22. Our PG has taken 92 shots in his last 4 games and Ohio is 1-3 in those games. It doesn't take John Wooden to realize that offensive philosophy ain't gonna work. For a coach to allow a struggling PG to take that many shots is unreal. And folks on this board cry every day how John Groce is overrated...LMAO.

Enjoy your Saul Ball for two more months. It's over in 60 days.

He should have done it right after DT took a technical. I don't blame Taylor at all...it was a BS call on Carter. But damn Saul....show some freaking fire and stand up for your team and take one as well. The game was over at that point. Your team would respect you more.
