Whoever thought of moving this game to Friday at 7:00 should be horse-whipped. How you gonna draw a crowd when you're competing against the Jeopardy! All-Star Tournament?

Not to mention Buffalo v. Kent St. on ESPN2.

I would love to spend a Saturday afternoon in Athens and take in this game. But won't be able to make it down tomorrow night. Will do a little channel surfing instead.

Full on agree with you there. I had a nice day planned with BG buddy and our wives for Saturday that's now out. At this point, I'm choosing not to burn vacation time to drive 180 miles by myself round trip to watch bad basketball also likely by myself.

Instead, I'll probably watch dirt track racing and basketball simultaneously and drink cheap beer. Could be worse.

It's actually at 6:30 up against the nightly parade of hemmoroid commercials.

I can tell you this.

Around here, based on the team's recent performances,if they started getting blown out, like Buffalo, you'd see fans send a clear message of their dissatisfaction with the players, coaches and A.D.,by wearing paper bags.

Maybe when you didn't make the sale, get a raise or promotion or get the employee of the month award at work, your family should greet you at home wearing paper bags.

I agree. Kinda mad they switched the game. I was going to attend Saturday, but making the drive from Columbus on a Friday night makes it difficult. Woohoo! We are on CBS Sports and they'll show an empty stadium because nobody can make it...

I know in my business,I explain to every person I hire what is expected of them.

If they meet or exceed those expectations I reciprocate, with a bonus.

If they don't,I encourage them to try harder and improve.

Sometimes this works,sometimes it doesn't.

If I thought wearing a paper bag would motivate someone I'd give it a try.

If you wear a paper bag to a college game then you are a fudging tool.

BG was a 4 point favorite last game in BG and the Falcons won by 19. OU has only been a home dog twice this year against Marshall and the 2nd meeting with Ball State.

The Falcons open as a 5 point favorite like I thought.

Shoot someone beat to the punch. I was going to have eyeholes cut out of a paper bag. its been a while since I wore it. I have an old school basketball I cut eyes out of from the 80's.. look out falcons .. gosh.. or a fake mustache and lowered ball cap is easier. $3.99 uptown.. should we say ok to the loss so we have more MAC teams to get more post season play? I never thought I would say that!

How they're a 5 point favorite, and not more like 8 or 9 is beyond me. I know home court is usually said to be worth 4-6 points, but there isn't anything I've seen in two weeks to convince me that BG doesn't win by 8-10 or more.

KenPom predicts a 72-66 loss or 29% chance of winning. The BG offense ranks 108th in efficiency averaging an adjusted 107.1 points per 100 possessions. The Falcons shoot the three at 37.3% (ranks 48th) and turn  the ball over on only 16.9% of possessions (ranks 57th). In contrast, Ohio ranks 316th in offensive efficiency averaging 95.2 per 100. The Bobcats shoot 29.6% from three (ranks 339th) and turn the ball over on 20.8% of possessions (ranks 297th).

The teams aren't that different defensively. Ohio gives up 100.2 points per 100 possessions (ranks 108th) while BG allows 99.0 (82nd). Although the Bobcats D obviously hasn't been great lately. Here are the points per possession Ohio has allowed during its 6-game losing streak.

Buffalo - 1.43
CMU - 1.12
EMU - 1.06
Miami (OH) - 1.10
Akron - 1.05
NIU - 1.04

This is a winnable game, we had them on the ropes last time and then Laster and Turner got it going. We need to put pressure on them by hitting open shots. Go Cats

+1 Yes, it is winnable. I think how well we will do depends a lot how resilient we are after the crushing Buffalo defeat. They need to regain a positive attitude after this losing streak and the Beefs game. If they come back firing on all cylinders, we can win. If they are shell shocked, it won't be pretty. I think we can probably tell very early in the game which it is. I'm betting we will come out with fire in our eyes and take it to 'em. Time will tell.

GO BOBCATS
Depending on your cable provider, it is available via the CBS Sports App. Also, YouTubeTV carries the channel.

A big part of me expects an EMU-esque performance. We come out strong, maybe build a quick lead, then BG gradually pulls away for a comfortable win. I was skeptical of BG early on but they are proving to be a strong MAC team this year. We aren't. I'm not expecting to keep this within 10 points.
