Thanks again Ted.. it should be an interesting. Home court advantage is not what it used to be. there is a lot of parity.. there are many variables. and to be generic, but who is healthy and wants to play. Go Cats

KenPom has it as a 70-68 loss or 40% chance of winning.

While we wallow in our own self-pity some may not have noticed that Ball State may be the most disappointing team in the MAC this year. They have home losses to three teams with a collective MAC record of 3-12 other than their wins over BSU. Too much talent for that to happen.

I agree. Ball State was totally awful at home when we played them. Eventually, they are going to wake up and play up to their potential. Let us hope that this is not the weekend when this happens.

Big minutes from everyone that played today and a big win. Gotta shore up those late game free throws, but two in a row is two in a row.

Clutch play down the stretch. If you are a Ball State fan you have to be thinking...WTF is going on with that coaching staff. Wow...something ain't right there.

You have to give the guys some credit today. I pretty much gave up on them when they were down 9 early in the second half and Balls couldn’t miss any threes. Hard fought game that went our way, need a lot more of those.

Yes, that was a good win especially with balls hitting those crazy threes. We needed Jason to wake up second half and boy did he get that message, his coast-to-coast aggression was a pleasure to watch. Also fun to watch an Ozone D-Lo Crew that was into the game, congrats to the Athletics Dept and the members and Norm, whose big hug with the student after the student led the "Winning team ..." chant was priceless.

WOW. How do you beat a team that has higher field goal percentage, MUCH higher 3 percentage, much higher free throw percentage, same amount of rebounds. I guess it is the five more turnovers? Or get off more shots? Or go to the line more often?

Defense must have made Balls work for their shots.

Get 23 points off turnovers to their 13.
Turn 11 offensive rebs into 18 pts; they had 7 pts off 7 offensive rebs.
Put up a lot more threes (24-18) but hit only 7 to their ten.
Outscore them 48-38 inside the arc and 42-30 inside the paint.

I think the difference in turnovers and points off turnovers was the key.

Our kids came out the second half and turned up the energy level some how and took the game to Ball State. Jason found another gear to switch his game into, probably kicked in by getting more touches in the second half. Our best player must get more than his share of opportunities for this team to win. A smart old coach of mine long ago taught me that it was the responsibility of your guard to make sure that your "bigs" were getting the ball inside when they were open. It is not surprising that those bigs will bust their butts for you if you consistently provide them with "treats". (the ball)
Good win for the Bobcats!

I wanted to re-watch some of the game on the ESPN3 archive and I get a Forgerock page about maximum sessions reached. I have Spectrum internet. Anyone else getting this?

That was a much needed win. Keep feeding the beast, Carter needs more touches. Preston played great in the second half, TK hit some big shots and didn't turn it over as much, Gavin hit some big buckets, BVP was busy on the glass, and Antonio's scoring in the first half kept us close enough. Even Murrell had a few bright moments. Keep it rolling.

If someone had said before conference play started we'd sweep Ball St, I wouldn't have believed them.

Same here. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be at the game, nor was I able to watch it. I'm hoping to catch the replay tonight. The end result though is fantastic, and puts Ohio squarely in the middle of the big pack of teams that are either 4-3, or 3-4 behind Toledo and BG. The opportunity is now there to jump a few teams with a win on Tuesday at NIU, and a win at home on Saturday against Akron.
