KenPom predicts a 63-62 win or 51% chance of winning. This is the last game remaining where KenPom gives Ohio a better than 50% chance of winning.

EMU defense is slightly above average (158th) allowing 103.2 points per 100 possessions. By comparison, Ohio gives up 98.6 (ranks 80th). The one area where EMU struggles is defensive reboundiing. They allow opponents to collect 36.3% of their misses (ranks 350th). Maybe a product of their zone defense?

Offensively, the Eagles rank 173rd averaging 104.1 points/100. The Bobcats rank 317th at 94.6. EMU does not shoot free throws well (61.8% ranking 345th) or threes well (30.3% ranking 325th). But they do a great job on the offensive glass collecting 35.9% of their misses (ranks 18th).

I hope the guys can learn how to dissect that zone, because if our outside shooting woes continue, this could be a lonnnnng afternoon.

Remember when the Brazilians were at a winter game a few years ago and did the rhythmic soccer chants? Get ready for Saturday. They told me they will be there Saturday. Should be fun.

I asked someone at the dinner last night and they told me the game was Saturday. The fact it is tonight makes it that much better.

I'm trying to imagine how anyone bets on this game, regardless of who is favored.

I think they crossed in front of my car by the Convo about 10 minutes ago, looks like a group of about 18-20. Nice to have them as something to hopefully look forward to tonight ...

I'm at the point where a win would be dandy but I'm not expecting one.

Surprise me 'Cats, please. Go Brazilians, Go Bobcats.

Congrats to Saul and the Bobcats on only losing a home by 9 points despite being spotted a 12 point lead early and the outscored by 32 points next 24 minutes of game falling behind by 20. This team packs it in faster than any bobcats team in history. Where was that team that beat Marshall and Radford. Saul out coached by every team in the mac.

Gutsy and heartfelt comeback at the end by the Bobcats; however, far too little, too late. Up to that point, it was pass ball as opposed to basketball. Not pretty. Eastern Michigan was much more athletic and talented. The best team won, and it is only going to become more difficult as the season wraps up.

I don't see another W on the schedule. Billy Hahn's worst squad would scorch these guys.

12-0 run to start the game, 14-3 to end the game. And still fall by 9.

Now we need to answer 2 questions: who will leave when Saul leaves? And do would it truly hurt us for any specific guy to leave?

This roster needs to hit the reset button. Whoever is next will hopefully convince the few that need to stay to stay and quickly rebuild the other roster spots. A certain guy from Stony Brook (or Northern Kentucky) might be able to navigate the tough situation that is our future. This roster has a handful of players who have proven they can play.

Come on now . . .you showed that my memory of a certain aspect of Alden's career at Ohio was wrong, but boy it looks like you are trying to do me one better with that statement!

Not a lot of talent out there in green and white that can compete in this league. This has been well established. Everyone knows this isn't going to be a quick fix. The new coach is walking into a dumpster fire and he's probably going to have I guess discussions with 5 players minimum about transferring out. Too many bodies in uniform that aren't MAC talent caliber. Recruiting has gone sideways and new coach has a total rebuild on his hands thanks to this five year mess left behind.

Didn't Hahn lose to Ohio Wesleyan? If memory serves me right it was a 122-115 loss at HOME.

A team that won the DIII National Title. We’ve struggled with lesser DIII and NAIA teams the last few years.

Give it a rest! Geez. Bad year this year, yes!! But we lost Dartis and Gollon, no small loss. You can hate Saul all you want. He was without Campbell a year, Carter a year and yet had a 23 win season followed by 20 wins. Go on hating ....

Better yet go drool over Groce some more.
