Good stuff on Miss Doseck. I remember when she signed her NLI, we wondered how good she might be, coming from Athens HS. I'd say she's more than exceeded those speculated expectations.

Yep, because no one from Athens High School could ever be very good. Her high school class had 7 DI Scholarship athletes in it. All contributing at a high level for competitive teams.

Wait she has this job lined up already? Never heard of that happenning. Good for her, just optics of it are bizarre to have a job lined up to coach one D1 team while currently playing for another D1 team.

Despite this, the young lady is very successful. ;-)

She also coached the past couple summers and also helped out with Alexanders Girls High School basketball team, just a super young lady.

It's not a straight up job, she will be attending graduate school the as well. She's had to apply, take the appropriate test, get accepted and yes, have a relationship/connection with the coaching staff to get the GA position for all of this to come together.

Congratulations to her. This is fantastic.

Hence the term "Graduate Assistant" in my post.

Ha! I more was pointing out that how well she'd do would be under scrutiny, and that she, at least in my mind, blew away on court expectations.

First year Valpo head coach is Mary Evans, who spent the previous 5 years as Bolden's assistant. The Crusaders are struggling (6-19), hopefully Dom can be a spark for their program like KB has been here.

I knew there had to be a connection. Any idea what she's going to be majoring in?

These types of stories are what put the student-athlete back in successful intercollegiate athletics and make me bleed green!

On the women's program in general, I'm curious what is Boldon's career goal is.

Is he awaiting an invite to an Indiana homecoming? Beyond that, there are plenty of dumpster fire women's hoop programs in the Big 10 and just about any other P5 that should be calling. Has he had opportunities and turned them down?

He can't be waiting for Smesko to leave FGCU, he seems to be a lifer there.

I hope he look's at OU as his FGCU.
