Any idea what the spread is? I remember the days where this would have been a guaranteed loss when Kent was the class of the league and we were alsorans. Oh, how times change.

The Cats need to take care of business as the Flashes are a dangerous team. We survived 83-81 in Athens but had too many turnovers (22) and at times seemed to lose focus carrying out the game plan. Kent's plan was to drive at our hips and flop anytime a player was within 5 yards-and it seemed to work for them getting several questionable calls. We need to keep CeCe out of foul trouble and contain Golden and Carter's scoring. It would be nice to get in the groove with our 3 point shooting, we are due!

Kent 7 & 5 in the MAC, is still in the hunt for a 1st round bye, a loss to the Cats would put a big sting in that.

I don't know but it seems like a great betting opportunity.

Megan Carter does a lot for them and we can't let her get in a groove. She has a tendency to turn the ball over so we have to bother her. Turnovers hurt us in our first game -- we gotta take care of the ball better in their gym.

Carter and Alexa Golden was like a 2 headed monster in Athens, they combined for 42 of Kent's 81 Points 22 for Golden & 20 for Carter, they also made 5 of Kent's 6 3's. but Ohio's CeCe Hooks fought foul trouble the whole game and played only 29 minutes, she ended up fouling out. Its gonna be a tough road game, lets hope Coach Bolden has his ladies ready to play.

Wonder if the screaming Kent Lady attends the woman's games ?

As Ohio is no longer the MAC standings leader, it no longer represents the MAC in ESPN's Bracketology as an auto qualifier. Instead, Miami (#11 seed) does. Central Michigan is in the field as an at-large (#8 seed) but Buffalo and Ohio both are listed in the second four out. Bobcats probably have to win out in the regular season to have a shot at an NCAA at-large if it comes down to that. Ohio still can get quality wins in this game and especially with upcoming games against Buffalo and Miami.

Ohio is out of the Mid-Major top 10 here: http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/...

Central Michigan is #8 and Miami is #9.

Last night's results: Miami over Toledo, Buffalo over Ball State and Central beats B.G. so the top teams are holding serve, so to speak. It would be nice if B.G. could go down to Oxford Saturday and pull off an upset. Buffalo will be at Akron and Central will host Northern Illinois. The Bobcats just need to take care of business against Kent State. Doseck was a player guest on the Saul Phillips Radio Show last night (along with Jason Carter from the men's team). Spoke well about their focus and their goals for the rest of the year. Also mentioned that they are still hard at work getting better and using their bye week to tweak areas that can use refinement.

Only women's prediction I could find is something called RealTime Sports Ranking (Real Time RPI.com):

Gamer score prediction: Kent 76 Ohio 74
Game winning probability: 51.9-48.1

I'd bet $48 to win $52. Go OHIO

(I meant to post this here to increase the number of replies and hits on this thread):

Same result as in Athens: Cats hold on for another 2 point win. But another tough 4th quarter, losing 20-10.

Tied near the end, 2 great plays seal the 2 point win, the first one from the bench:

Coach Boldon once again calls a game winning play. He's truly got 5 players that he could call on, this time it was Amani Burke, who found a baseline lane to score. Then with 2 seconds left, Gabby Burris blocks the 15 footer to seal it. Redshirt freshman Erica Johnson (24-12) put on a show.

Fair enough. Thanks to those who are adding topics about the women's team to this board.

This fourth quarter going down the sliding board business concerns me a little bit. Not sure precisely what starts slipping away when the last ten minutes hit.
