Great effort by the Men tonight against the top 20 Bulls, hope the Women go into Oxford with the same kind of effort and come out with the W to leap-frog the RedChickens to the top of the Division. I see Burris and Burke with comeback games shooting the ball and Dom, who has known the rivalry longer than any of her teammates, comes out focused from the tip in her last game in Millett and the Cats take home the victory. Go Bobcats.

Huge game for the Cats tonight. Both Ohio and Miami stand at 12-4 in the MAC East. We are 23-4, Miami 21-6 over all. Buffalo lurks in the shadows at 11-5 and 19-8. Miami hosts Ohio and B.G. to finish the MAC schedule (beat B.G. by 6 the first time). Buffalo hosts B.G. (they lost to B.G. earlier) and travels to Kent (they beat Kent by 9). On the West side of the MAC Central Michigan stands at 13-3 in the MAC and 22-6 over all. They host Western Michigan and Toledo in their final two games. Central whooped up on Western and lost to Toledo in the first go round 62-59.Toledo occupies the second spot in the MAC West with a 10-6 18-9 record. Seeding for the tourney could go a lot of ways depending on these last two games. According to the MAC website the MAC tie-breaker (between two teams) is: head to head competition, division record (10 games), winning percentage vs ranked conference teams (top to bottom, regardless of division, vs common opponents regardless of times played), coin toss. If multiple teams are tied the total won-lost record/winning percentage of games played among the tied teams is used-once the multiple team tie is reduced to two teams the two team tiebreaker goes into effect. Of note, Miami is on a two games losing streak-let's make it three! Let the madness begin.

Yeah, I'd say the loser is probably eliminated from at-large consideration.

It'd also be nice if the Bobcats can win out and Central Michigan drops one of its final two games, most likely the finale vs. Toledo, so Ohio could share the regular-season title.

Millett sounds like there's a crowd? Or is that because it's a closet?

The bottom line's the win, I know, but to freefall from 20+ ahead at the half to squeak out a four-point win. Whew! Hope to see a packed Convo for Senior Day.

Building a 29 point lead before the half - Fantastic
Watching Fiami cut it to 1 - Frustrating
Seeing your rival come up just short of a nearly impossible comeback in an elimination game for conference and at large possibilities - Priceless

Beat BG and get to the championship game and I have to think we're a lock. Get to the semis and I still think our chances are strong.

OU women struggling to a first round bye going 4-1 since the their last loss.

Great coach and a diamond asset to the program.

And then....

The OU men "turning the corner," "figuring it out for their "beloved" coach," Saul-ball! is rolling in at... 2-4.

Beat Fiami and still finish last in the MAC East awaits... what a program Saul has built!

Was a meeting until about 8:00. I got home in time to watch the last six minutes or so of the game. Glad I missed the big blowing of the 20+ point lead. Glad they came through in crunch time. Somehow this team looks like they are not exactly peaking at the right time. They don't look as good as they did a month ago, but maybe they can get it going again in tournament time. They certainly got a lot of good players and a good coach. Go OHIO!

It looks like the Bobcats could be seeded anywhere from first to fourth, but with a win will be first or second.

I fully expected the team to fold once the lead got down into single digits. All the momentum was with the Pukehawks, all the foul trouble was with us. I think (correct me if I am wrong) we started the 4th with Burris/Burke/Johnson all with 4 fouls and only had Burris foul out with around 2 minutes left. The ladies were clutch at the free throw line late, Johnson and Burke especially.

Let's take care of BG on Saturday and send these seniors out in style on the way to the Land.

Foul trouble is an Achilles Heel of this team.

That Miami player's pick in the final minute was brutal - borderline flagrant IMO.

OCF, take SBH's word on this. When it comes to picks, he knows what he's talking about. In fact, the only reason we allowed him on our highly rated intramural team was for his formidable picks.

Point taken!

In our pickup games, there's one player who always accuses me of setting moving picks, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Huge win with the division championship and a possible bye on the line. Great to stick it to Fiami after they smacked us at the Convo earlier, particularly in the low paint which Bolden corrected last night. A win Saturday should assure us at least a 2 seeding.

Cats only shot 34% from the field and 23% from deep. But Hooks, Burke and Johnson went a combined 23-28 from the line making the difference.

Go OHIO
