It happened 2 years before the iPhone, and was during a TV commercial break, good luck on ever finding that one. Plus it was during the second semifinal (WMU/Buffalo) to boot.

While I might have missed some, the wins over ranked opponents during the regular season that I could find looking through the record book:

Re the '63-64 team that beat Louisville twice, regular season and tournament. Wonder if the Cards were ranked during regular season?

How about pre-season wins over Uconn, Virginia, new Mexico State, Syracuse?

UL was not ranked during the regular season in 1963-64, according to the media guide I was looking at. The Virginia pre-season upset is included above (I arbitrarily considered pre-season "regular season"). The other teams in the pre-season NIT that OHIO beat were not ranked at that time, again according to the same source.

Keep in mind back then rankings were usually only the Top 10, then it was expanded to Top 20 (not sure the year) and then later to Top 25 (again, not sure what year that happened).
