"Regarding Boals, the funniest thing I read (and I forget where) was that in his bio it said "he led" the Bobcats to a 1994 NCAA tournament appearance. Umm....I think Mr. Trent had more to do with that, although I always respected Boals' game. He flat out laid out some players with his picks. He busted his butt on the court and was certainly an integral part of those teams. I also liked in his press conference his reference to Coach Hunter. "

I believe you saw that on the Stoney Brook website. He was a captain in 93-94, ergo he led the Bobcats. Just sayin'

If anyone doubts Boals importance, just look at what the Cat's did after Jeff went down the following year. People who were around that team knew who the glue guy was, the real leader of that ball club.

If I have missed this in one of the many other threads, I apologize...

Is Coach Boals in Athens yet?

I don't think he went back after the presser (his family did). If he went back it was only to get a months worth of clothes in the car and drive back to Athens the next day.
