Massinburg is a player. 25, 7 & 5 tonight.
Interestingly, Massinburg wouldn't have even been offered a schollie by UB and coach Oats if UT's Navigato hadn't reneged on his commitment to UB when Hurley left for Arizona St. Navigato originally committed (signed, maybe?) with UB but his decision to instead go to UT opened up a late offer for Massinburg. Has worked out pretty well for the Bulls, who put 110 on UT and Navigato last night.

You've got to wonder if Navigato has any regrets. I'm sure he's enjoyed his time at UT just fine but UB has won 2 MAC championships since Nate got there & UB leads the head-to-head series 4 to 2.

Nate's a good player but I'm sure UB is fine with how it worked out. Not only did Navigato's decommit result in Massinburg's open scholarship (arguably UB's best ever player now), but they end up with Jeremy Harris who is just a better version of Nate.

Navigato is a good MAC player. Harris is a major-conference type player with a shot at the NBA.

Hope Buffalo can really boost the MAC where they force other MAC programs to recruit better. Buffalo is athletic. Ohio was that under Groce. Its no longer the case.

UB's win at "Cuse looks even more impressive after the Orange wins at Duke in overtime. 'Cuse aided by a heave from the opposite free throw line at the 1st half buzzer that hit nothing but net.

It will be interesting to see if Jeff Boals can keep the Buffalo recruiting train rolling when he's hired to replace Oats.

(Wouldn't that make your head explode?)

The Bulls are tied for 1⃣4⃣with Texas Tech receiving 743 points!

This ties UB's highest ranking this season and it is the 11th straight week Buffalo is ranked, tying the https://twitter.com/MACSports?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw recordhttps://twitter.com/hashtag/UBhornsUP?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw | https://twitter.com/hashtag/UBLegendary?src=hash&ref_... https://t.co/CBcuq0Y30t&mdash ; UB Men's Basketball (@UBmenshoops) https://twitter.com/UBmenshoops/status/108740789523754598...
How high can UB finish if it goes undefeated in MAC play? I have to believe it can climb as high as #6. Truly amazing. Just have to hope the committee doesn't screw this up and put them in a 8/9 game in the tourney.

I still think they will fall at least once. 2 roadies with NIU & Kent this week they should win but could stumble. Then at BG next Friday for probably their toughest test remaining.

I am rooting for them against all teams other than Ohio. Would love to see a MAC team flirt with a top 5 ranking.

Agreed. It is REALLY hard to get through league play unbeaten. In fact, it led me to wonder if it's ever been done in the MAC. The best in my memory is Kent at 17-1 in 2001-2002. I looked it up on basketball reference, and that one Kent loss came against......Buffalo at Alumni Arena.

Past that, there have been teams since 1985 get through the conference with just two losses. 2012-2013 was the most recent time that's been done.

They continue to be impressive. Even games where they struggle they end up winning comfortably. Athletes at every position which I did not think was possible but I digress. I am surprised to see that no one is mentioning their away game on March 5th as being a trap game but I suppose that says everything.

They are taking niu for granted and throwing away an automatic bid.
